Honestly this whole episode was WAYYY to dependant on Tokyo drift references, if you're like me who's never seen it, your kinda just sitting there like, "Yeah it's based on that Japanese car show...i don't really care tho" EDIT: i meant initial D, I didn't even Remember what the show was called

the thing about Kevin making other characters feel more realistic kinda breaks down when you realize he is one of a kind... I'd get it if there were more of him. Or if they shown him having at least some compassion but deciding not to change (making him a proper rival in the Steven Universe universe)...but he's just the one character that breaks the rule that everyone is either normal or have a tragic backstory to explain them...

0:34 the show actually _did_ have model sheets. it's just that SMIP and Rough Draft Korea (the overseas animators) were told to work closely from the storyboards. SMIP usually translates the boards into something that looks good, but Rough Draft tends to drop the ball, which is how we got stuff like Connie being the same height as Steven when she's supposed to be taller than him, or (more famously) gremlin Peridot

This episode I can’t say what my opinion on it really is because I have not seen this episode since I binged the show in 2019, and I thought it was okay. Get used to this statement a lot because at this point of the show is where I began to forget that these episodes exist because Season 3 and 4 are extremely forgettable.
