Movie actually has a dark ending if you think about it. Executive at a company goes missing. He was last seen abruptly leaving a meeting visibly upset. He is then followed out of the meeting by his girlfriend who also looks upset. He is then never seen again. Susan is now the prime suspect in Josh's murder.

Then the police dig deeper and find that Josh never existed in the first place. The SS# is wrong. None of his resume credentials check out. It's like the man that never existed decided to disappear. My take is that they bring the kid Josh back to the company. Put him in a focus group, then let him stand out. After that, offer him some kind of weekend internship. Susan covers the business side of things, while Josh provides the ideas and fun. Once he graduates high school, he'll have enough of a reputation with the company to get a job without a college degree.

The thing that wonder is if Josh grew up and was 20 again. What would happen if he applied for a job at the same toy company? Would some guy two days from retirement remember him? Would he have ownership or royalties for that electronic comic book?
@alvexok55232 жыл бұрын
They would be really baffled that a 30 year old from 7 years ago now looks 20, but that would only be after Josh takes a DNA test and producing fingerprints to match up with the same fingerprints from the Josh 7 years ago who looked 30. However, it never appeared that the 30 year old Josh 7 years ago ever got any DNA or fingerprints for anyone to keep record of, so there's ultimately no way to prove that it's the same person. So, 20 year old Josh 7 years later will absolutely not be able to get anyone to believe he's the same guy as the 30 year old Josh they'd remember. They would just think he really looks like him, and a younger version of him, and will never believe that he's the same guy

We are definitely aware about swears and adult info (blatantly saying it results in deletion of comments) by then; adults just tend to see us as innocent kids from that grown-up perspective.

Another sin you should add - at 7:31, when you talk about Josh calling his mother from his job, what about the fact his mother could have tried to have the call traced? She was on the phone with him long enough.

It’s very plausible Susan had never been on a trampoline before. I grew up in the 80’s, & was an adult the first time I was on a trampoline, we couldn’t afford one & I never knew anyone who had one. Trampolines weren’t sold commercially until 1975. I don’t know how old Susan is, but Elizabeth Perkins was born in 1960, making her 15 in 1975. As normal for many new products, such as microwave’s, tv’s, VCR’s, DVD players, trampolines were likely expensive back then. Not only that, they’re in NY, if she grew up in an apartment, she wouldn’t have had a yard to keep it.
