It's finally time to appreciate and pay respect to Ryan Reynold's decade of dedication to play 90% of all his characters in movies as Deadpool so when somebody would finally get around to make an actual Deadpool movie, the only actor everyone could think of to play Deadpool would be Ryan. Probably the worst thing about this movie was the fact that David Goyer seem to be trying to appeal to a teenage audience. And that's really not what Blade is about. His roots are grounded in supernatural horror, and trying to insert so much juvenile slapstick really ruined the tone of this film. Not only that, the plot was just garbage. Drake had no reason to be here because he had no real plan and had no driving force to combat the main character. He just existed. This movie was doomed from the start.

clearspira well you can blame Marvel for that they tighten the reins on their intellectual property which caused an inconsistency in the overall tone of the movie series. Where they went from horror-movie protagonist to Urban underground superhero. Which didn't go over so well with fans of the movie series. And this is also what pre Disney Marvel had a nasty habit of doing when a Marvel based movie property became popular. they try to make it closer to the comics which fucks up the consistency. They should have kept it the same as number 1 it needed to stay a horror movie series not a comic book movie series.

Ok, first of all, RR was literally the only good thing in this movie. Secondly, he didn't do anything to screw up Wolverine Origins, you're blaming the actor for the writing. Ok sure, him agreeing to play Deadpool in Wolverine could be considered a contribution to the ruination of the film but I think he more than made up for it with Deadpool 1&2. If fact, that's WHY we even got the Deadpool movies. After all the backlash that Wolverine got (Deadpool's portrayal in particular) RR went and read literally dozens of Deadpool comics and said "omg, I helped destroy this character. I got to make it right" thus putting up his own money to get the Deadpool movie made. So, even though you can't really blame him for Wolverine's portrayal of Deadpool, any small blame anyone COULD find in it, has been totally wiped from his slate. Also, Green Lantern WAS total shit but again, can't blame the actor for shit writing. Just like as bad as Batman and Robin is, you can't blame George Clooney for it. He just played the role how it was written, same with Reynolds in Green Lantern.

Apparently this trilogy doesn't count as a black lead actor or Black Comic Book Hero?
@r.a.fgattaiguy8456 жыл бұрын
it shouldn´t count, mostly because no one gives a shit if the hero is black or not

R.A.F GattaiGuy That's because these movies were made before all this identity politics b.s. went mainstream and we just watched movies without worrying over every way someone could be offended by them.

A Comment - I get what you're saying, but I still think it's a bit unfair not to give Blade credit. They were good movies (not so much this one, of course).

I honestly think that Wesley Snipes' attitude during the production of this movie was totally justified.
