if blood had a guaranteed guardbreak you wouldnt be able to play the game if a bloodrend user guardbreaks with a mantra, all of the following will happen: - no combat healing for 8 seconds - 20% more damage from manipulator - causes victim to take more blood damage from the follow-up mantra - causes victim to get more blood poison from the guardbreak - take ALL of your temporary health as TRUE DAMAGE + the damage from the guardbreak itself (its not hard to maintain 1 bar of temporary health) - gain half a bar of temporary health from blood bank (cause you procced manipulator) also, ice smash (the guardbreak for frost) is already overpowered as hell just because it confirms a hit or two after, imagine if ice smash did everything listed above LOL. theres a reason almost all of those talents only work on bloodrend mantra guardbreaks so yeah theres a reason blood has alot of block pressure and not a lot of posture damage, and the only move that guarantees a guardbreak (veinbreaker) is really hard to land when fully charged (with good reason, shit does more than eclipse kick). ALSO if blood had a guardbreak it would 100% be the best guardbreak in the game with the jankiest hitbox + anims knowing k1 tl:dr: if blood had an instant guardbreak the game would be in shambles

Sorry man, gotta yap about this but seriously from start to end: -Elemental Armor still works against Blood. -Scarlet Cylcone and most Projectiles on bloodrend are extremely strong and are mostly the problems with it. -Most "physical" bloodrend mantras has a pretty consistent hitbox, like I said, it's just the projectiles being super strong [You can lose potentially a bar if you get point blanked by a level 5 Crimson Rain where it has 6 daggers. -I think a good portion can agree we want to grapple around the maps with vein tendrils outside of combat. Also Vein Tendril is REALLY good for chasing players so It fills the mobility spot well for that. -Razor Blitz works. I just believe most air moves are really janky to begin with explaining why it would more or less miss, especially the second move. -Personally I'm fine with Rush hour and Sow and Mend being talents. I just want a hotkey for them. -We have Temp health. Which is a good mechanic. Allows safer aggressive plays so long as you manage blood and you'll just overall have a higher hp pool than your opponent. Doubling down on that, the Charisma talents blood has doesn't give back health. It gives back Temp Health, it says it in the talents description. Temp health that deteriorates in a few seconds, which can be delayed with another talent, that pauses it if you do damage, incentivizing you to once again to be aggressive. -Bloodcurdle has to many problems. Old Judgement was and always will be worse than Bloodcurdle because you could get hit while still being caught in judgment. -I'm fairly certain the Crucifixion Mantra is somewhat based on Klaus Von Reinharz from Kekkai Sensen where he's capable of using his own blood to make cross-shaped weapons. This sure as hell ain't a jojo reference bro.💀

there's resistance to bloodrend mantras, but strictly the ones that are considered 'physical' (inteque has a video about this where he goes over how some mantras have physical properties and are reduced by physical resistances)

anyone else feel like the devs super-retconned the lore just to make bloodrend a thing or is that just me? like before we only saw blood be used by chaser and his respective weapon, and because of this were led to believe blood magic came from the second prophet’s oath or maybe some twisted manipulation of chaser’s flamecharm and resonance; then vyrelda basically shows up and just goes nope, it’s just an attunement, want it? like what vyrelda herself is just bad storytelling at a base level, because so far she is the ONLY ministry agent that has shown any semblance of good, along with being the first confirmed deserter of the ministry; this is a huge turning point in the game’s lore, and maybe we can fight or at least understand the ministry better now that she’s with us; so what’s her reason for it? “oh I just wanted bloodrend” - seriously, that’s it? like, we could have had a more expansive development of this character and the lore, and it’s just tossed aside so we can have the blood attunement; I get it, it’s been a week so maybe they’ll delve into it later, but at this point the opportunity just feels wasted, and that’s assuming they even plan on expanding on the character, which they probably are not

8:50 i love the jojo reference, but shouldnt that just be ironsing? he can only do that by manipulating the iron in doppios blood, not ACTUALLY his blood, however, would be a waste of a cool blood path, so hear me out, ironsing blood path: inside out: your ironsing mantras summon metal rods inside the enemy, when you pull, you extract the iron out of your enemies blood vessels (LEMME COOK) you can also see ike an xray of someones blood vessels, and check their status (like hp, blood content and more) in exchange for no blood pool things, your blood mantras now take out the iron in your bloodstream (including iron created by your ironsing mantras, this is another drawback) which procs iron deficiency, your opponent is slowed down (no oxygen in bloodstream) and their screen is blurred, if you fully remove all the iron in their blood, if they dont somehow restore blood (eating, talent, campfire whatever) they black out and fucking collapse on the ground

You are either a Chaser fan or a glass cannon. The "Glass Cannon" part is because of Arcane Odyssey's "Drawback" modifier. It will kill you before you land that super cool combo. Till this day, I still didn't come back to Deepwoken/Fakewoken. And if I did, I'm just gonna enjoy my Shadowcast... and the Dawnwalker for lore. Currently in AO, Pilgrammed, TDS, and whatever game that will make me engage with Robloxia. Oh, and Phighting is silly to play.

The only realistic way I've been hitting razor blitz, has been from using it after flame leap on a hybrid build. I love the concept, but it just has so much more potential that can be done with it then just generic mantras and that actually saddens me. Other then that It's still atleast cool looking with hybrid builds, like you said though It's just really weak most of the time 😭

But obviously in the air after a flame leap it's practically impossible to hear the sound cue or even really expect it so that's why I do that. Still definitely can be used from that kinda range, probably a good idea to use it as kind of a uppercut mantra to counter aerial attacks. Anyway thank you for the input ❤

My biggest issue with bloodrend isn’t how overpowered or buggy it is, it’s how lame it is. The only cool blood mantras are crucifixion and blood tide trident and both of them suck. Also, Jesus in deepwoken lore would be sick.

Not to nit pick, but a crucifix is not just a jesus thing. Crucifixion is just all around a horrifying thing so that fits for blood without saying Deepwoken Jesus.
