Do you think it would be better if The Oasis had a shorter amount of downtime every day instead? Because I've lately been gravitating toward a headcanon that Wade and company change the downtime to be more evenly distributed across days instead, in response to the backlash over it being completely down on two full days every week. I'm not certain my idea would be perfect either, but it's a thought I had.

RE: time for exposition at 3:43, I couldn't agree more!! When you're talking about the abilities of items in games you tend to know what they are and will just talk about them. Like when you're playing magic many old timers will still use the abilities of the cards to describe them not their new flashy name; "comes into play" not "enters the battlefield", or in gaming we'll say how long stuff lasts in real time not read it off the sheet when you just /know/ what it does. you hit so many good points in this!! A lot of people that I know couldn't see past the pop culture references and some of the cliches to see how wonderful this movie was (when wade started to cry when he realized he won made me bawl) and I think the best scenes where when wade made the video calling everyone to fight and when halliday was looking for the egg, the halliday scene showed his true personality and seeing them interact with each other made me ecstatic and when wade asked if he was alive and then what was halliday since he's not but an avatar made me so excited for the sequel! and honestly, the "sinning logos because they're logos" in all his videos makes me so tired.
