Actually, the birthday party happens before FNAF 2 since Phone Guy says "summer job", but the pay-cheque says November, which definitely isn't in summer. Also, Phone Guy never mentions that the old animatronics are damaged, he only mentions that Pre-withered Foxy is considered too scary and that ALL of the animatronics are acting weird, he never specifies the toy animatronics.

It was proven in Ultimate Custom night that some of the animatronics didn't have spoken dialogue after they killed you. As we all know, Scott doesn't just do things randomly. This was intentional, to show that those ones weren't possessed; they were just malfunctioning robots.
