Everything Wrong With Mario and Luigi Dream Team

When I think about it, Dream Team isn’t my least favorite Mario and Luigi game anymore, I do think it’s better than Bowser’s Inside Story. And yeah, in spite of how harsh I am on this game in this video, this game’s actually pretty decent, but it would have lived up to its predecessors if it didn’t have so much filler in it! Needless to say, it definitely has sins.
Also, my next Everything Wrong With video won't take as short a time to get out as this and my last one did, the only reason they were out that fast was because I was trying to race to get these two out before Charrii5 finishes his Dream Team video.

Clearly it's been getting to him over the years, so it would make sense that what's effectively his Magicant would reflect that color-wise. @@meta527II There is an Easy Mode in Black and White 2. It's unlocked at the same time as Challenge Mode, but only in White 2, and Challenge Mode is only unlocked in Black 2.

@@meta527II Norbert is from The Angry Beavers. There was an episode at the end of season 1 where a combination of spicy junk food and late-night television makes him sleepwalk. Or nightmare-walk, as his brother Daggett put it. That FHfIF reference comes courtesy of Cheese poking Eduardo with a carrot. Just one of his many instances of being a nuisance. Yeah, BW2 has an easy mode. Apparently it lowers opponents' levels and dumbs down their AI. You unlock it in White 2 by beating Iris, but you have to Unova Link the key over to Black 2 to unlock it there. People have complained about Megas, Z-Moves and Dynamax, but I still say that the Key System was a worse mechanic than any of them.

@@SuperGoker64 I agree with your thoughts on the key mechanic. It serves almost no purpose, version locks features and Pokemon that shouldn't be version locked, and getting those features is way more complicated than it should be.

@@An_Account1 Honestly, much like I do with Twilight Princess, I have some pretty strong mixed feelings about BW2 in general. I've ranted about it quite a bit on in the past year, especially on Joshscorcher's channel with regards to the videos Aramau featured in, but to sum it up: the Key System is stupid, the amount of new areas added on for a sequel game was lackluster compared to Gen 2 and XD Gale of Darkness, Pokestar Studios went from promising to disappointing with the tutorial movie, Join Avenue was completely useless to me even before the DS wifi got discontinued, Cheren got jipped, the Unova Link actively reminds me of how Cheren got jipped, and Marlon has levels of tacked-on that rival those of _Juan._ With that said, Roxie is my favorite Unova Gym Leader, having access to the Mareep and Riolu lines before the first Gym was pretty sweet, Colress is a welcome addition to the series-wide ensemble, the new songs added nicely on top of BW1's already stacked ost, and despite some missed potential in not bringing back the Elite 4 members, I like the Pokemon World Tournament.

I’m sorry, Meta, but you do not seem to understand how the Dream World works. Peach wasn’t trapped in Luigi’s MIND, she’s stuck in what can only be described as a parallel/pocket universe! Luigi may be seeing this stuff in his sleep, but the Dream Worlds are all interconnected. That’s why several Pi’llos nightmare chunks on Mount Pajamaja are all in the same Dream world despite the distance between their pillows. I can agree on Starlow being stupid in those moments, though.

I can understand why you hate the plot twist of Bowser betraying Antasma, Antasma was a cool villain and really should have been much more of a threat in the story, but I actually think it was REALLY cool that Bowser betrayed Antasma like that, instead of Antasma doing it, it honestly makes me think of Bowser as a much smarter antagonist and was a pretty badass move in my opinion, but despite that I still wished Antasma was much more of a villain in the story.

Well you convinced me to get this game and so far its honestly amazing probably my favorite in the entire series. Yeah there is some filler and tutorials but the tutorials are over with quickly and the bosses are honestly all amazing and really fun. And the games actually really hard probably the hardest in the series but the issues you bring up are still pretty big which makes this game all the more underrated

I've theorized that the intro of the game with antasma is just luigi having a nightmare. Since there's no way they'd survive the blimp crashing and one of the straps snapped off, yet when it lands the strap is attached again. Plus luigi wakes up after all this

19:33 I played the hard mode version of the game where if you die, you get sent back to the title screen. I was stuck on this boss for about a week, which you have to spend an entire 2 to 3 minutes to try the fight again, and then I figured out that I could just place my 3DS on a flat surface, slowly pick it up while facing upwards, and slightly tilt the 3DS. That's the only way I was even able to get pass this boss and the next giant battle.

1:28 I mean, it’s heavily implied that everything about Antasma intercepting them at the balloon and it falling at the end was just a prophetic nightmare Luigi was having. I was like "OH BOY" when I saw this because I know that this is- er, I mean, WAS your least favorite game in the series, and it got a final sin count to match! Side note: I noticed that you sinned some things like the Wiggler fight and Bowser betraying Antasma that I've seen interpretations of that put them in a better light. Namely, the Wigglee tends to get tougher with each game, and Bowser betraying Antasma was a twist on how other villains controlled Bowser in previous games. You still did make valid arguments, though!

I love this game but the thing that I don't like (other than all the tutorials) is the fact that Luigi's Dreams aren't actually Luigi's Dreams Instead Luigi is just a door to the dream world which is a parallel world or something, meaning that possibly anyone that could fall asleep in these places on these pillows would arrive there It's kinda sad to realize they could've done much cooler stuff if it actuall was Luigi's Dreams, beste example being Dreaming of Luigi's Mansion

So your opinion on this game is fair and understandable, yeah the padding, pacing, and tutorials really push this game away from being better. But it is still a great game at the end of the day. And you might not like this game or have fixed feelings on it but thats ok. And the story battle system is still good and a very fun game. And decent visuals (albeit a bit bland looking) They could've found a way to cut out the bed fetch quest near the end of the game. And yeah Bowser could've had less of a role in this game because Antasma seemed and was way more interesting than Bowser. Instead Antasma shows up a few times, we fight him and hes dead, FOR GOOD, no build up hardly a personality and character and just felt like a pointless character now. And as incredible as the final fight with him is, its kind of similar to the first 5 minutes of the game. Seriously, I miss when Nintendo made unique main antagonists. Extremely fair opinion on this game, its still a great game, just could've been slightly more better.

in hard mode antasma x 2 shots you even at level 50 and maybe even 60. i needed to grind with the farmer boots for hours to have a chance

Fun fact: I actually played this game (Only up until the park section as of making this comment) and I actually really enjoyed my time playing it. (Except for the tutorials since those suck) I'll be honest my favorite part about the game was the save system. Rather than having to hit a block you can save ANYWHERE on the fly with the touch screen. I used this like it was nothing and told the save blocks to get lost and just used that to save my progress.

I mean, unless your gyroscope is really bugged, it’s not that hard to hit at least MOST Goombas surrounding Private Goomp along with all of the Elite Trio themselves with Luiginary Ball. In fact, BP Knockout Bangle makes Luiginary Ball virtually free to use in general, since Dream World encounters come in groups of 10-20 enemies most of the time

Starlow has a life first of all,second,all peach did was throw a little laser at Bowser that didn't even knock him out,and in inside story she only throwed Bowser out of the castle when Mario defeated him. Besides Bowser has an ARMY,starlow and peach aren't defeating all of Bowser's minions on their own.

19:34 Actually, this particular instance of gyroscope controls, as well as the one in the giant Bowser fight, are bad like this because of a glitch where the gyroscope is sensitive enough to be messed with by the sound vibrations from the speakers of the 3DS. Turning down the volume or muting during these sequences fixes this. It's also worth noting that in every giant battle, it also affects the finishing bros move, albeit to a lesser extent, and you have a much easier time getting an Excellent if you turn down the volume very quiet or mute during the finishing bros move.

Bowsers Betrayal was completely unnecessary and stupid. It made no sense for Bowser to betray him because Antasma made him stronger, didn’t even want to conquer the world and was nice to him. Yeah I get it he’s a villain but it’s still stupid. Also In my opinion it’s kind of a bad thing they made Bowser all villainess again in this game. He completely over shines in Antasma Who should’ve been the main villain. So excuse me for not being able to take Bowser that seriously when in the last game we saw him get fat. Also you could completely remove Bowser betraying Antasma from the story and nothing would change. That was her betrays him in the last 15 minutes of the game and right after we find out that I was or betrayed him Antasma dies so what was even the point
