Kelvin Shubert Um since when did they focus on their relationship for four movies? I only remember them having a couple brief interactions in the first two movies. The third one doesn’t count since he only talks to Human Twilight, not Pony Twilight, and he barely gets a word in before she leaves and in the fourth movie she shows no interest in him at all and gets with another guy and in that movie he starts to accept that he’ll probably never see Pony Twilight again and they can’t have an actual relationship and he seems to have moved on to a Sunset which this movie teases in a brief scene so effectively the fourth film just sinked the ship. So with all of that into account you can only say that they focused on their relationship for TWO movies, and even then the focus was pretty bare at best. So honestly I don’t get what you were expecting after the fourth movie, not even the film’s themselves really cared about that little crush after awhile, they just moved on to focus on other things, ultimately there was no reason to expect that things would be different now.

I brought it up in the first place because they made this character specifically to be a (poor written) love interest for EQ Twilight; if they're going to keep having this character around for whatever reason, I was expecting them to at least throw him a bone and give real definitive closure, maybe give him a brief line like Flash: "Hey Twilight , it's good to see you but I've moved on now and I hope we can still be friends."

It's the crown of Twilight, the literal element of magic, that brought magic to the world AND empowered the sirens to the point to make them a threat again. The equestrian magic that Sunset brought for that world is the only reason the sirens went to Canterlot high in the first place. Also, Sunset knew that was a portal. She said she had seen it before. I’m sorry but an actual real relationship is basically impossible for them, plus it seems like Flash is moving on to Sunset Shimmer given his reaction to her winking at him, and a relationship there seems far more possible since Sunset is staying there for good, so it seems like Flash and Sunset are going to be canon.
