I have a theory: The homeless man was bitten by an animal, not a human, so that made him the (human) patient zero. Due to the disease hadn't infected a human before, it took it a whole day to get enough info about this kind of body, our DNA and our deffenses. Once it got enough info, it would only take a few minutes, seconds or hours to turn a person into a zombie, depending on the part of the body that was infected, how healthy is the person, if the person is alive and the way the person was infected (I mean, a scratch, a bite, infected food/Water, etc) P.D. @@NoFlu u mean the virus evolve to be faster in infecting ppl
@hishamochicosplay5 жыл бұрын
If a zombifying virus similar to rabies can evolve quick enough to spread faster from host to host, it'll go into any body fluid possible such as the blood stream and salivary glands to infect new hosts. Infected body fluids transfer faster inside an open wound, which is why bites cause a virus to spread quicker because of saliva entering the wound upon contact. Scratches won't necessarily be a problem unless an infected host has infected blood or saliva in their fingernails. If the scratch is from a newly infected person, it won't be an issue unless body fluids from another infected come in contact with the scratches and spread into your body. Most people freak out over a bite which causes their heart to race from adrenaline, making their blood pump faster, causing the virus to spread throughout their body quicker. The key is to not panic, staying calm delays the spread of the virus, but that limb that was bitten has to go before the virus spreads.

At 7:38 when you yell close the door behind you, you can actually see the doorknob, indicating that the door is, in fact, closed, and then in the next scene with the zombies rushing through it, it's still got the knob, indicating that it's closed lol so all these zombies, as well as herself, seem capable of just phasing through objects.

binge watching a lot of zombie movies has made me realize one thing. No one, no matter how confident they are, would survive a zombie out break. With how informed our world is about the zombie genre, we're going to find some asshole who will do their absolute best to keep their mouth shut about getting scratched by a zombie in fear of being executed. I'd be too scared to sleep cause you just know that they will turn in the middle of while everyone else is starting to sleep.

Also wasn’t it a rule in “train to busan” that the infected don’t attack or lose interest when they can’t see their prey. I didn’t see this aspect much in the prequel
@charleenlangley87092 жыл бұрын
Actually, in train to Busan, they did. When there's no stimulus, they went quiet, jittering and growling to themselves, but otherwise not moving or not by much. However, they were also on a train and so were trapped with the survivors sooo. Cos I recall them applying newspaper to cover the windows, and it worked until they heard noises

Honestly I think an easy way to cover the issue of inconsistent turning rates is through the amount of times they're bit. If someone gets more bites, it's likely the disease will be transferred at a higher rate.

I say that the old man was the patient 0 and the virus just needed to adapt to humans so it took longer to effect him compared to other and some zombie bites are more potent compared to others based on how good the biter's immune system was or how close the teeth were to a major blood vessel giving us a good reason why they have different turning times. Second the first patient the old man must have been bit by a animal while taking a dump when he fought it off but it was sadly to late.

You should’ve added a sin to the scene where the boy and “father” were trapped in the bathroom because the zombie was trying to get in without seeing them, since this is in the train to busan universe that means that this wouldn’t be possible since they stop attacking if they can’t see you
@YinYangLogo3 жыл бұрын
3:50 my biggest gripe with this scene was: why didn't the driver just... ya know... stop the ambulance? Ya know, hit the brakes? I felt frustrated quite a few times watching this movie. A lot of the problems the characters faced only really existed due to dogshit communication skills, and characters making stupid decisions. But some of that can be excused as there is undeniably a social commentary this movie is communicating as well (i.e. the classism in Korea). For example, how police refuse to listen to people because of their judgements of them due to their class. Some of it may be a bit far fetched (e.g. the first police officer thinking that it was a problem of all homeless people attacking, when he was stuck in a cell with other homeless people who were attacked by other homeless people who were clearly... unhealthy to say the least). However, with just about all zombie movies you have to watch them with the premise that the idea of zombies hadn't previously existed in their universe, and I actually can't immediately think of any examples in which this isn't the case
@anhnguyenhoang2103 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is very strange considering the fact zombie movies existed ever since 1940s, with iconic ones like Night of the Living Dead released as early as 1968. Not to mention books, board games and popular video games like Plants vs Zombies. Everyone in recent zombie movies was like "Omg the dead guy is still walking. I haven't seen anything like that before. What do we do?!"

Maybe the reason why the old man took long to turn is because the infection was only introduced so it must have been little when it started infecting people
@noexcuses55243 жыл бұрын
The only person i dont want to die was the guy helping the hye-sun female lead to cross the railing and she was dangling. This is realistic. I don’t like the female bcus she is pretty much useless in the entire film. Ob course , i would be too if a situation like this would broke out .

Why wasn't the girl at the end seen biting the woman at the beginning of Train to Busan? If they're suppose to be linked and the animated prequel film comes before the live-action movie itself!
@Lazarultos5 жыл бұрын
Just because it's set in the same universe doesn't mean the movies need to immediately follow after the other. The bite on the woman in Train to Busan was low on her leg, so it was likely an animal bite rather than a human bite (part of a theory as to why it took her so long to turn in the movie). If it was indeed a human bite then there are dozens of other people in the city she could have been bitten from, it doesn't need to be any of the main characters in this film. Seoul Station just shows the early moments of the infection and how things led into the situation we see in Train to Busan.
@MGSBigBoss775 жыл бұрын
@@Lazarultos No, the animated film is said to take place merely a day before Train To Busan begins. They are connected directly to each other. The film being animated doesn't stop it from it being an actual direct prequel film in more ways than one alright!

It's always human sympathy that causes things to escalate. Look at 28 weeks later, the woman and the kid both got mutilated because of the woman's sympathy towards a helpless boy in a zombie infested village. Pretty much in a time like this, it's quite literally every man for himself I understand it's cruel and harsh but there is no help for it
