I completely agree with Jeremy's point about how McLovin's character completely devotes himself to the persona beyond just using the fake name. The B-story of McLovin's journey on his own, without Evan and Seth there is actually the more interesting half of this movie, Imo. Should have just had him be the main character.

This movie came out the summer after I graduated high school and I remember being at a house party where somebody put it on. It was more or less just running in the background, but every now and again I'd hear something hilarious and try to watch it for a few minutes. So once everyone else at the party had passed out, I restarted this and watched the whole thing, lol. It's one of the only movies I can recall "watching" back to back on the first day I even knew about it. I still think it's hilarious all these years later 🤣🤣
