Whenever he tries to do something for his children and wife, the boss plops some big project that needs his immediate attention and be done within the week, destroying all his plans. Because of this, he gets frustrated when people ask stupid questions(like going to the restroom) and nagging about how he doesn't do enough. He does a ton. He is treated like a bad father because he can't spend time with his family but that isn't his fault. Sure, when he actually gets the opportunity to fix all that, he abuses the power, and that made him fast forward through his life. Now, the message is to try your hardest to spend as much time with your family and put their needs before your own. But they set it up poorly. I was severely disappointed in this movie after watching it for the first time, though I won’t lie, I did tear up when he chased after his son in the parking lot. That really hit home for me. And him saying bye to his father…🥺 oh sh*t…there I go again 😭

Never heard of this film before, but am now tempted to seek it out just for that dad scene everyone's going on about.

Look I like this movie, the concept is brilliant but the execution could’ve been better but I think they did a good job with it

I think with a universal remote control, this is about as creative you’re gonna get, now true sci-fi drama or fantasy with this, different story

The concept already been by Its A Wonderful Life, ya know a way better movie

The sin for the dog barking in 6 languages is the loudest I've laughed at a sin in a long time. Followed up with the "human. Dog." bit was hilarious

Just watched this movie last night for the first time and it was actually amazing. Really funny and then really sad. The whole time you're invested in what is happening or what is going to happen. 9.5/10

This movie has a halfway decent message, "Don't fast forward through your life." But suffers from the question, "who would use the Fast Forward button when they could Pause instead?" Completely broke my Suspension of Disbelief as a teenager, and as an adult find the protagonist totally irrelatable.

Honestly I’m not saying this is a great movie, but I think it’s one of the better Adam Sandler ones from the 2000s

After my mom, sister and I saw this on DVD rental, my mom went upstairs to her room. We thought nothing of it. Then my dad came home late from work and went up stairs, and we heard my mom crying. My dad works a lot so the movie really hit home for her.

I never considered the "Angel of Death" being called Morty as a nod to morticians taking care of the dead, until now. Mostly because I actively avoid watching this movie, unless I'm looking to cry therapeutically

I'm a truck driver. Fortunately I'm no longer over the road but even with the regular schedule, i still unfortunately miss some of my kids' stuff. This is hard to deal with normally but i couldn't imagine my wife guilting the crap out of me for it. Makes me appreciate her just that much more. He's just trying to make a good living for his family. I'm with the you guys on the criticism of the movie on this.

I mean the camping scene I wanted to go camping cause I saw this movie! That was also shite. But this is still my one Adam Sandler live action movie I can rewatch.
