I love how Disney never explains beskar armor is more then just metal. Like, to 90% of the audience boba should have died, his armor covers a tiny part of his body, but Mandalorian armor has all sorts of cannon plot armor.

I think the Sarlacc escape could've been done better. I mean the Sarlacc is supposed to be this like all powerful creature that nobody has ever escaped, and Boba despite being burned over his entire body manages to make it let him go with a few flame thrower shots, then somehow just digs his way to the surface......through what has to be at least 20 feet of earth? And the Sarlacc just sat there chillin while it was being burned from the inside out and sliced open? No angry tentacles trying to drag Boba back in? Really?
@BrandontheAwesome2 жыл бұрын
In the original EU, Boba Fett tricks the Sarlacc into squeezing him, which detonates his jetpack, and Boba's armor is BARELY able to shield him from the blast. Boba literally came back from the dead with a BANG. Way cooler than what they did here.

They kept showing scenes from Boba Fett in the Previously on sections for Mando, and I thought maybe I had skipped an episode. Overall I thought the Boba Fett was really weak. I especially hated the desert train scenes for how ridiculous they were. The train must have ended up a hundred miles from the Tusken camp by the time it got shut down, yet somehow the Tuskens, riding Banthas, got to the crash site almost instantly. Then breaking open the water car to spill it all over the desert, sigh.

I still don't get why they chose to use the "original" Jango-actor from the prequels. 1. It'll always remind us of that dreadful prequel-trilogy 2. He's just too old to play the part. Why not simply use the guy who played young Boba (Daniel Logan). He's still active, he looks the part and he would've been the perfect age for the role. and most importantly: 3. His body-type isn't anything like that of Jeremy Bulloch's as the original, super slim Boba Fett. Temuera was probably too bulky to begin with, even back in the prequels when he didn't have a dad-bod, but in The Mandalorian and in this, he looks like he had had to eat his way out of the Sarlacc-pit.

It’s existence is what’s wrong with it…
@bittybaff35412 жыл бұрын
I got a LOT to say about this one and none of it's good. This show should not exist, the show itself agrees, which is why there's two whole episodes in a row where boba doesn't even appear. Mando is the new one, through him we see more about their culture and mythos than ever before, even if it's just him and the little guy for most of it. He has a purpose beyond bounty hunting, the quest answers and a place grogu can be safe. It's the famed martial skill of the mandolorians applied to something greater then contracting. This necessitates the understanding that they're known for being no more mercenaries, highly effective yes, but their motivations are typically, $$$. Boba is such a character, and he's a fan favorite long before these shows, partly because we know next to nothing about him. He's mysterious, not on purpose like black noir, we don't learn more about him, we're not given answers, the story doesn't need any. He was honestly overstaying his welcome even as a cameo appearance, but to jump from that to give him his own show is nonsense. We open with the most anticipated and hotly debated scene of his escape from the sarlacc, the very last time anyone saw him. Why oh why oh WHY do they skip ahead to when he's taken over jabba's palace? Why are we subjected to flashbacks meant to tell his story and add characterisation, instead of just TELLING the story instead? The water he's given at the very end of the first episode should have been the ONLY victory he's earned, do we care about anything he's done in the present? No. No we do not, we know NOTHING about him or his journey, which is fine for a cool, mysterious side character but not the freaking protagonist! We're not invested yet, we were at first, but they break it off by jumping straight to his inevitable victory. NOTHING he does matters yet, why the frick would it? They're telling us there's a back story, they're acknowledging a journey, instead of taking the audience along for the ride. We should be watching him claw his way thru the desert, first for survival, than grudging approval, and eventually escape, freedom, purpose and revenge. Those he meets along the way would form the allies, enemies, assets and interested parties that would actually matter by the time he takes over. The supplicants formally giving respect would actually mean something, characters from his past could arrive, friends he lost track of and thought were dead could reveal themselves, enemies who used to bully him could now be forced to acknowledge his superiority, but no, he hasn't earned that yet, not that we've seen, so it's all useless. There is NOTHING interesting in his present, that's why there's no story to tell, exactly why he gets sidelined in his own show by Mando. We don't need him or his story, but that doesn't matter, they're going to keep regularly cranking out content with no thought whatsoever to the story, the characters, any sort of message whatsoever. Star wars no longer has a meaning, a story, a lesson or direction, it's a free for all where everything gets a yes and, disrespectful and absolutely useless
