I Sewed an English flag for my Renaissance group so our soldier guild could taunt the Irish guilds. Anyone can sew! I learned to sew because my mother told me that she won't always be there to do it. It is a helpful skill.

Indeed if theres is ONE thing I learned how to do in the army was to sew. I learned a lot of other things too, but there was a lot of sewing, especially since I started doing very sloppy sewing and my instructor would find every chance to rip the velcros off my uniform, until he was completely unable one day, no matter how much he tried, even trying to use his keys to find a weak spot to stsrt tearing yielded no result. Suffice to say I got much better at sewing, much more than at the beginning. He was not happy, and I did my best to hide my smile. The other instructors sure were enjoying themselves watching him fail too.
