Everything You Didn’t Know About Water Birds

Birds are often thought of as boring animals, not worth a second look when compared to the cuter or scarier creatures out there. However, there are many bird species that face unbelievable challenges every day just to be able to survive, and that pressure has shaped them into some of the weirdest and most fascinating animals on the planet. In a place as rugged and remote as the Galápagos Islands, a lot of the birds have been pushed to the extreme as they all try to solve the same problem, how to get enough to eat from the only good source of food around - the ocean. Trust me, you will not want to miss these incredibly weird stories!
It has been a lifelong dream of ours to explore the Galápagos and share the wildlife of this legendary place with you, and none of that would ever have been possible without Emilio ‪@AnimalEncountersEP‬. He was integral in organizing and running our entire trip, and his passion for the wildlife and people of Ecuador is inspiring. Also, without the generosity of Jack and Gage ‪@JacksWorldofWildlife‬ and JJ ‪@Ecotasia‬, this video never could have been made, we simply wouldn't have had the shots to do these stories justice. The frigatebirds are some of my favorite birds in the world, unfortunately we got totally robbed of seeing any nesting frigates with their throat patch out, all of our shots were in the air. It did allow us to get footage of the swallow-tailed gull though, so it worked out. Thanks for watching as always, it really does mean a lot!
