It seems like KZbin hid this one from a lot of people, to the point where it even got restricted… still trying to get to the bottom of what triggers that. We appreciate your support more than we can express, especially when it seems like we’re fighting the algorithm with every upload. Thank you for watching as always!

Wasps will leave you alone for the most part if you leave them alone (not counting yellowjackets). Bees, on the other hand, are professional assholes. Honestly, I like having wasps around to help kill all the godforsaken mosquitoes.
@TheWildlifeBrothers6 күн бұрын
That’s very interesting, I often hear people say the opposite about bees and wasps. You’re definitely right about it being good to have wasps around, though bees perform some very useful services too. Thank you very much for watching!

Suckily, brown recluse are rare in my state (Michigan), although isolated populations have been found in a few counties. I did find a huge yellow and black garden spider, sitting ass up in her awesome web in a gap in the weeds at the edge of our garden. I watched her snatch a fly that landed 8 inches away and snap back into her ass up position at the center on the web in the blink of an eye, holding and biting the fly while it struggled. Then as soon as the fly stopped moving, the spider flipped to a head up position and with some of her legs, spun the fly like a rotisserie while weaving and wrapping silk over the fly. Then she spun back to her ass up position and hung the fly with a strand of silk below her while it struggled a little, so she bit it to envenomate it until it stopped, the she ate.. She's noticeably grown in just a few days. She has such an awesome pattern and colors. Good video Bros!

i admire your efforts to demystify public fear of spiders. however i’m confused why you use that tense, horror-like background music (especially around the 03:40 mark) if you’re really trying to show an non threatening interaction :/
@TheWildlifeBrothers6 күн бұрын
This is a very valid critique. We always strive to show the true nature of even widely feared animals, which means showing people that they’re not aggressive or interested in using their defensive abilities without reason, and doing so without drama or danger hype. However, we do often lean into the emotions that these animals typically generate in people (fear, nervousness, hatred even) with our editing choices, usually early in the videos or where narratively appropriate. That is in an effort to meet our audience where they’re at with our subjects so the message of the video resonates more clearly, and to elevate the entertainment value of the videos as well. As much as I wish we never had to lean into the danger element at all, that type of storytelling is often rewarded algorithmically, which ultimately means that we can spread our message to more people. Thank you so much for watching!

I don't like parasitic bugs that only do more harm than good, the entire variants of wasp and fly for example. and also Cockroaches.
@TheWildlifeBrothers7 күн бұрын
It’s understandable to not be the biggest fan of invertebrates, they’re certainly not the easiest animals to relate to. But species like wasps, flies, and cockroaches play vital roles in their ecosystems, including many things that benefit us like pollinating plants, controlling the populations of other inverts, and recycling valuable nutrients back into the environment via decomposition. Thanks for watching!

Got one trapped in my enclosed patio in Tampa for six months. They are not the brightest, but too fast to catch. I watched him wither away to nothing, until I finally caught him and released him. I feed and watered him until I could catch him. He had was skin and bones, but I felt sad for him. Released him on the lake by my door. Found out he is an invasive, but couldn't do anything else for my own spirit. JS

They do have an unfortunate habit of getting themselves trapped in places where they shouldn’t, good on you for being able to get him out. Invasive species or not, they’re here to stay, and your compassion is admirable. Thanks for watching!

I've spotted a handful of these in central North Carolina. Two of them had to be a conservative four feet long. Listening to your comments, we spotted a lizard A few weeks ago hang around which now is MIA after spotting a racer. One observation I have seen is they are not as fast when the atmosphere is hot or humid.
@TheWildlifeBrothers11 күн бұрын
Racers are always a fun species to observe, though I’m not surprised that it was able to make your resident lizard disappear. We have also noticed that in very humid or hot conditions they seem to be a bit more sluggish, especially during the heat of the day. Thanks for watching!

Once stag beetles reach adulthood their lifespan is only a few months long, so they are not really sold in that life stage. Such a cool creature! I love lizards so much. I always loved seeing them while visiting family in Florida, just clinging to the side of the house, or crawling up the window screens. I think most of those were anoles or geckos. I also saw iguanas a couple times! Very neat. That swarm of termites, though. Gross! I would've been losing my mind. Insects crawling all over me, flying at my face, getting under my clothes. NO NO NO! You guys were surprisingly calm about it. I admire that. Great video again. Thanks for the neat info and this glimpse at an awesome animal!

Thank you so much! Growing up in Pennsylvania we saw almost no lizards at all, but any time we visited Florida we also were super happy to see all the lizards around. Catching anoles and house geckos remain some of my favorite childhood memories, and it’s still just as fun today when we’re down there. The termite swarm was pretty crazy, but luckily they don’t bite so it wasn’t too bad. We appreciate you watching!
