Dear Mr. and Mrs. Stubbings: I was dismayed to see that Kroger was selling tiny cups with some species of barb in them. I wanted to save them all, but the price of these was ridiculous. I hate to see box stores like Walmart sell live fish. I complained until they quit, twice, in my, local Walmart. Thank you for sharing this, interesting and informative profile of Pethia padamya. It’s a lovely species, but a bit too boisterous, for my taste. I’m moving towards planted aquaria and hope to replace my, larger tanks with such, once several of my pets expire. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar

I just bought six the other day to go in my 65 gallon with 6 Congo Tetras (4 M 2 F). I asked the sal salesman for 3 M 3 F. They are all about 1/2 inch. My question, do the females have a clear dorsal fin? They are probably too small the sex and are so fast it’s hard to keep up with them. Is there any other distinguishing factors I should look for. Thank you.
@stubbsaquatics6080 Жыл бұрын
I find that the females are a bit rounder and get a bit bigger. They are much more drab than the males. The females won't have that metallic look and deep dark red that the males will..
