I am an Evangelical Christian and think it would be brilliant if the Star Seed bloomed into the Star of Bethlehem. Scripture constantly reminds us that GOD has a sense of humour and used secular tools to accomplish spiritual goals. In an Existence where there are Time Lords and The Doctor, it would make perfect sense for GOD to use them for HIS own goals. Further, from an anthropological perspective, it is a great way to explain how science and the unexplained can come together to spawn religions and religious ideas. All in all, anyone Christian who would be offended has missed the point and has put themselves way too high on the pedestal of personal superiority. One other thing, and I genuinely cannot recall, was there ever an idea in DH where the The Doctor was not allowed to intersect his own timeline? It seems this has been broken quite a bit of late but though I remembered from my youth when this was not allowed?

Yes, there have been many times that it was said that the same person couldn't coexist with themselves at the same moment and place. It was the reason why The Doctor save old Amy in The Girl Who Waited.

The nativity is just a myth, a story told by primitive humans, a long, long time ago. The idea of The Doctor, a being who could just go look, whenever they wanted, considering that boring, simplistic myth to be "the greatest mystery in the known universe" would be vastly, incredibly, unbelievably disappointing to me, a ridiculous, small, even petty endorsement of a singular superstition, in a show that has nearly always (F you, Satan Pit) been above that nonsense. Fortunately, it doesn't seem like that's the direction at all.
