Hiroyuki Kubota a former writer and game designer at Alphadream along with a few other alphadream employees started working at Monolith Soft after alphadream went bankrupt. Since Monolith Soft is a Nintendo studio and they already work on RPGs mainly Xenoblade I wouldn't be surprised if they are making this game

5:36 He appears to be the leader of the Extension Corps as they would most likely have similar electric powers like him teleporting into a ball of red static and they appear to have these v-shape markings on different parts of their body or clothing. Plus it seems the Extension Corps itself is marked as the main antagonists in the game.

The art style is so recognizable that I knew it was Mario and Luigi almost immediately before it said "mario and luigi" in the trailer. I just didn't know if it was going to be a remake at first. That was wild!

It genuinely feels like a natural progression. In Dream Team, we had 2D sprites in a 3D environment (except for the Giant Bosses). Going from sprites to full on 3D models is a testament to how far the franchise has come.

im just curious what the big main gimmicks gonna be cause i feel them trying to hide it sorta like with mario captures and kirby mouthfuls im assuming it has something to do with the hand thing from the opening but it could be something weirder or wackier maybe electricity theme since everyone in this world is electricity themed but who knows

My guess for the developer is next level games because the animation looks a lot like their style from Luigi’s mansion 3 and specifically Mario strikers battle league. Lots of squash and stretch

What y'all missed about Mario and Luigi's voices is that there are actually a lot of Charles Martinet's older voice samples from previous installments used in the trailer _alongside_ Kevin Afghani's. I think they might just placeholders though

I really like what they showed. I do hope this game doesn’t use annoying Motion Controls. Not to mention I use controllers that get rid of that feature. I also really find it cool that there is gonna be multiple islands with their own unique themes. Concordia is the overall name of the whole world.
