Thanks for great review. Love your videos. Regarding body and strap you can order any color etc. on ebay. Regarding watch faces - get Amaz Faces App, there is plenty for T-Rex. Just now I have Suunto Core face on my T-Rex. Looks amazing.

Great review, thank you. There were certain observations you made, which I had not yet thought of, and I have had my T-Rex for a few weeks. After some research, listening to reviews, and debating price points, etc., I decided the T-Rex was a good middle-ground watch which had most of what I was looking for. I totally agree with you on every point, except for the watch faces. Although I typically prefer an analog face, I found the face choices frustrating. Many of them don't have a DATE, but say the day of the week, which seems kind of useless. Or instead of where they could have the date, it says "Amazfit." IMO they should definitely consider some revisions in this area (especially for us iOS users who cannot utilize an outer-market app to add to the watch face choices). Watch faces aside, it is definitely a solid watch for the price point and with the military or G-shock look to it. Thanks again, and I will subscribe/check your other content....I liked your clear/concise/honest approach !!

You can change watchfaces using amazfaces app. Procedure is a little tricky though.

This is THE smart watch for me. It is an exercise smart watch, not a communication smart watch. I walked away from 'tracking' my workouts/runs and went back to focussing on simply how long my workout is and how I feel during it with an old school Timex Ironman. I am not a slave to my phone, email, social media, I just want something that will track time, date, HR, GPS. It's battery lasts FOREVER! It is rugged & comfortable. I'm still an old school purist at heart, but I'm enjoying the hell out of this T-Rex. Oh yea, it's sleep tracker is just as good as the Fitbit I had a while back.

i'm using stratos, trex, trexpro now. stratos, trexpro can customize data-display. but, trex cannot. this is little bit sad. (when i run, want to see time-distance-avg pace at one display. but, more press left-down button at trex. of course, stratos, trexpro no need more press.)

Hi , I am having rock black colour of T-rex , one thing I am noticing that , when you remove the watch from wrist and keep it on table and then if you try to measure the heart rate it shows false readings , according to me it should not show any false reading when the watch is not on wrist . Please let me know if you are facing same problem .

I love the look of this watch eventually gave mine away because I didn’t like the way notifications were handled the thing particularly of not being able to quietly receive notifications without waking up the display and showing the notification immediately. The way galaxy and apple watch do it only showing a notification dot on your watch face. Dont know if the updated but i like that they did update always on watchfaces to look like the watch face you have chosen. It used to irk me how you choose an awesome watch face but only have two options for always on.

the t rex pro is better than the galaxy watch 3 eventhough it does not have the ecg, the texting and calling...it has the battery life which does it for me on a smart watch...the t rex is like a better version of casio pathfinder or pro trek ...casio has their own heart rate smartwatch but it is twice as expensive

El Jefe did a review of a smart watch that has 24 hr tracking of your health, and sends you an alert if it notices anything out of the ordinary. If there was a watch that did that, but sent the notifications to someone else's phone or the hospital, so that way someone else gets notified if your dying......thats a watch I would buy for sure :)
