at 36:52, the hypertonic and hypotonic explanations seem off. diagram 1 should be hypertonic and diagram 3 should be hypotonic right?

No. Cell three is hypertonic to its environment. That's why water is flowing into the cell, causing it to burst. Cell one is hypotonic to its environment, so water leaves the cell. Cell 1 is in a hypertonic solution. Cell 2 is in an isotonic solution. Cell 3 is in a hypotonic solution.

You’re thinking about the SOLUTION. When the solution is hypotonic, then the liquid flows into the cell causing it to burst, when the CELL is hypotonic, the opposite happens. I was confused on that too
