They essentially took the image of the beach on her sweat shirt from the first 1989 and used it as the scenery for the TV cover and put Taylor in it. She went from dreaming about the beach to actually experiencing the peace and joy of being there. So the beach can represent self acceptance and coming to terms with your life and all the peace that comes with it. And by showing her eyes, with long hair now and a smiley face instead of a stoic one it just shows how she’s at a different place now figuratively and literally. But she kept the red lips I think to symbolize all the things that she still keeps with her good and bad.

Knowing now that Taylor was struggling a lot during the 1989 era (her body image issues, RED not winning album of the year, her obsession with being loved and being perfect, it not being too long after the SA at the radio station as well as adjusting to a new city and image) the secret sessions, taylurking and buying christmas presents make so much sense. Getting to see and interact with normal people who in addition to just being normal people with normal lives, also loved her? It must have been such a break from her actual life and so so refreshing

1989 was the only tour I’ve been to and it was definitely a memory I cherish. I went to the Halloween night tour in Tampa, Florida. Frozen was never my favorite film, but seeing Idina Menzel belt out “Let It Go” while Taylor was dancing around the stage as Olaf was absolutely iconic. That and the rock version of “Bad Blood” and “Blank Space” that I’m still bummed we haven’t had an official release for.

I remeber discussing Taylor's Apple Music letter in my freshman civics class. People who didn't even listen to Taylor's music had made snap judgements about how greedy she was we ended up in a full class debate about the subject but I feel like that was a cultural reset and was a very important stepping stone towards Taylor owning all her own music.

The song that solidified me as a fan is “The Archer,” but I had mad respect for Taylor’s songwriting talent when 1989 came out…Ryan Adams’ cover. I knew a couple of mainstream songs of hers but I had never heard of an entire album being covered before and I was intrigued. The eras tour stage is shaped as a key and that key can also be seen in the google 1989 vault puzzle opening (means the stage is the key ) and her last performed song on eras tour is karma 3. In the karma mv there is a lyric "karmA gonna pop up unannounced" 4. We get midnights (10th studio albumn ) after 2 rerecordings so i think she will follow this pattern that after sntv and 1989tv she will release her next studio albumn . 5. That clock in that coffe shows 11 between her blue painted and back painted nails meaning we will get karma after 1989tv and before rep tv . 6. She has changed her style recently like she is wearing 1989 tv blue and also black (vma red carpet and her meeting sophie turner ) 7. In the karma mv when she is the goddess of justice there is written 1989 in roan numbers and behind it is written karma in the same style as the man mv and the the scene directed to rep which means 1989 tv then karma then reptv . 8. I have seen a hairstylist vedio that she might be wearing a wig recently because the line ofthe bangs where they originate from is too smooth to be done in natural hair so she might be hiding her platinum blonde (karma era) 9. AHH HERE SHE IS!! 1989 tv baby!! I love these videos because it just reminds me of all the things that went down along the way. Ryan adams album was on repeat for me, I loved it. Fun fact, he actually did the whole album because he was tired of people saying she couldn’t write. He was like, “no, this pop album could easily be altered in tone it just takes a different artist. Her writing is superb.” Plus having a 90’s legend backing you up by re recording your whole album in a totally different style would be cool as hell. When 1989 came out I wasn't a fan and I remember the school trip at 8th grade when I was 14 to Berlin via Bus and as we arrived and drohe through Berlin the Radio played Shake it off and later Blank Space. I still remember to this day how all the girls sang the songs so loudly 😅and my friends at that time and Me shared a confused look not knowing the Song. After that I listened to the album when it came out and I liked it. OotW, This Love, Style, Wildest Dream and bad Blood were my favourite songs back then and stayed up in my list. Clean, Wonderland and I know places and You are in love are now up there and underrated. Before 1989 I knew Taylor existed and knew the big songs back then like Love Story, Ybwm, 22, Wanegbt, ikywt and enjoyed them when one of them came on the radio here in Germany. I have to admit though that back then I was more annoyed with Taylor and the girl squad. I couldn't stand her model friends (still dont) and I heard only from her through the media about the many boyfriends and I didnt know better. I also knew her through Harry from 1D. Later when I joined Twitter there always these hashtags about Taylor especially after 1989 and before Reputation. With all the snakes and K&K drama. I am sure at that time not knowing better believed them at some point or jumped on some band wagons. So I am so happy for 1989 fully introducing me to Taylor and it always will have a special place in my heart. It was Reputation though who made me a Swiftie and which is still in my Top 3

Re: city vibe vs beach vibe - I think since the album is named 1989 which is her birth year so it should be the album that like reflects her truest self. And when she first put out the album, she thought of herself as a New Yorker city girl chasing the life of fame. And now that’s she’s older, she feels like her truest self by the beach at her Rhode Island home, at peace. It’s a nice full circle moment I think.

i just wanna say about sweet disposition song that harry was a co-writer to song someday by michael buble and it has lyrics "I remember that love song I sang every word wrong But you didn't mind, no no" also as i know she eventually never gave him these lyrics with an autograph cause they broke up before his birthday and it was a present for him (ALSO ALSO in red there was a secret message for Treacherous "won't stop till it's over" and this is a lyrics for a sweet disposition)

I’m team beach/ city. Honestly this album reminds me of the city looking out to the beach. It gives me the warm summer vibes the beach gives but the upbeat pop sound the city would have. This love is more beach while blank space/ shake it off are city vibes. Idk if that makes sense but that my opinion 😂

For me, it's a beachy album. I live in New York but I am on Long Island. *Out of the Woods music video is beachy. *This Love: "clear blue waters, high tide came and brought you in." "sinking ships" *Style: "pick me up no headlights, long drive." that feels like Long Island. I dont see Harry picking her up in Manhattan. *Wildest Dreams: "drive out of the city, away from the crowds" feels like they are going to Long Island & this song takes place there. *she has seagulls on her sweater on the OG cover. ALSO the vault track "Suburban Legends" urban is the city, suburban is long island. Welcome to New York & You are In Love (he keeps a picture of you in his office downtown) are the only ones screaming Manhattan to me.

The media should be ashamed of the way they treated Taylor Swift as well as Britney Spears. No man in the spotlight is subjected to such scrutiny. Karma on so many levels!! Now, Taylor rules the world and her songs are EVERYTHING and she is a good, generous person - so many donations to food banks and bonuses for her team. Any criticism directed her way by the media or anyone is irrelevant. It is exceptional that Taylor Swift has spoken out about these issues. One day, there will be equality. I personally love that Taylor Swift rules the world and hope she continues to do so. P.S. Scott and Scooter played stupid games and won stupid prizes.
