I bagged my car in October of 2021. I paid for professionals to install, and that made it very easy. It cost me 1200 for the labor and it was money well spent. Make sure you get 2 compressors, 3/8's Air lines, and a big air tank made with a polished finish to avoid mistakes. Unplug your manifold and re plug your manifold if you have issues with the manifold. Recalibrate your system once a month and keep extra fuses and a good battery. Live your life righteously and you will have less problems and stop believing in shortcuts. Give this video a thumbs up because its a great video! This video showcases an outstanding product and has full details except details about draining the air tank.

@@danieldeda1394 I have a friend on airlift slammed series. He's had his bagged since approximately 2015. They are still going strong. HOWEVER he did have to replace his compressor. Also he doesn't have the 3p management system. He has the autopilot V2 - So he can't attest to the longevity of 3p ecu and remote. He convinced me to pull the trigger on airlift. Except I went with this kit. ( 3p with performance struts and two compressors ) How long your system lasts without any headaches is going to depend greatly on the quality of the install. As long as nothing is pinched, exposed or rubbing it will last for years. If all done correctly the only maintenance will be draining the water trap to keep the tank and airlines free of moisture.

Pneumatic suspension has huge potential performance wise, but one thing that held them back is lack of damper curves to properly complement their nonlinear characteristics. Wonder how well this kit does and how adjustable those dampers really are.
@rcairforceone5 жыл бұрын
It's pretty similar to having an adjustable shock. The air bag is the spring, and once the pressure it set barring any leaks it should provide steady oscillations.

I want one for my daily. But I am disappointed that it doesn't talk about the lifetime of the bags. What kind of lifespan and maintainance are we looking at in a typical 5 year use?
@Webdevelopmentya6 жыл бұрын
sadakotube the lifespan will totally depend on the area you live in. I live in Pittsburgh now but also travel home to NY at least once or twice every month. So far I have had to deal with the terrible snow and road salt every year. My bags pretty much lasted me about 4 years in the front since most of the weight is there and the rear are still fine after close to 5 years. I do drive slammed on the highway and sometimes main roads so my struts do take a beating. I never had a blown airbag just need to replace because the lining in the front was tearing and it wouldn’t of passed inspection. I have had two of the front braided aluminum airlines from the front both blow but I had a family mechanic have a custom one made that is stronger and more durable then the ones that come with airlift. After awhile your aluminum airline might rust overtime and leak. Also one thing that people forget with air ride is use your water traps. The 3p comes with it but you need to buy some extra fittings probably to install it. You want to prevent water that will build up in the tank getting into the 3p manifold. Especially in the winter. This will cause the pressure sensor (which monitors the pressure in your bags and tank) to fail. Meaning once you air up and use air from the tank, the sensor can’t give a reading and tell the system to cut the compressor on to fill the tank up when it’s low. Airlift will lucky replace it free of charge. Just pay them $500 and they will send you a new one then send back your old one and they will give you back your money or you can send your old one first and they will send you a new one free of charge. Also in the winter if you live in areas with freezing and below freezing you want to make sure you add about 2 caps of air brake antifreeze. This is commonly use in diesel trucks with air brakes. This will prevent the moisture in your tank and air lines from freezing. If your lines freeze then you won’t be able to air up if you are aired out on the ground. Basic maintenance is to check your tank for water build up once a month if you don’t use a water trap and best to check your tank every 3 months if you are using water traps just for safe measure. Also pro tip is to use thread tape on your threads to help as an extra layer of protection for sealing your compressor line going into your tank to help prevent leaks. Same goes with threading your water traps as well. Also another way to help you from burning out your compressor is to make sure you pay attention to the PSI rating on your compressor. If your compressor is rated for 150PSI don’t set your tank pressure to be filled at 200PSI because you want more air in the tank. You run a risk of shortening the life of your compressor. This was a lesson I had to learn luckily running dual compressors saved me also don’t cheap out and try to use one harness to run two compressors. Use the proper dual harness. Had someone who installed my airlift running my compressors off one harness and cause it to burn and melt the relay twice all because they didn’t read the manual and try to go off their shop experience. Need less to day I ordered brand new harnesses and tore everything apart and simply read the manual and it was extremely easy for me to do but also having it done right.

Pretty new to air suspension so please don't judge my question.. Does anyone have any insight on the daily maintenance of bagging your car? I saw another vid where they said you should drain the tank every night when you are done driving your car to remove the moisture. And then refill. So does that means every morning you have to wait to refill your tank to get air back up to riding height before you hit the road?
@FitmentIndustries6 жыл бұрын
Always check for rubbing on the bags, fittings being tight, draining the tank every once in a while for water/condensation

What about the alignment? Does it go out of the whack when you air out or air up? When you do the alignment, do you do it air out or air up?

When lowering your car you naturally get camber, so when airing it out you'll get camber. When getting an alignment, you typically se it to your regular driving height.

@DarkIzo6 жыл бұрын
camber should stay the same dont see why any alignment would change
@johnpopovich81236 жыл бұрын
That totally depends on the type of suspension you have, the semi-trailing arm setup in the rear of my E30 gains negative camber as you go lower by design.
@LoseOn22s6 жыл бұрын
camber will adjust naturally as you air down. can't do anything to keep it fixed as the geometry of the suspension will change as the height adjusted up/down.
