Okay guys this is everything you need to know about BioSyn. In this video, I've basically compiled every major appearance by InGen's rival in Jurassic Park. I go into detail about everything surrounding Lewis Dodgson in Michael Crichton's books as well as why InGen had such a hard time with them as well. From Dennis Nedry all the way to whether or not they'll show up in Jurassic World 3, this is what we currently know about BioSyn. :D

I'm pretty sure Universal got in trouble with a real company called BioSyn who had copyright of the name. Also they are an actual genetic company , so being shown in pop culture as a "bad guy " genetic company was not liked by them.

Truth be told, it wouldn't make sense why BioSyn would be excluded from Jurassic World 3, since Dr Wu doesn't entirely fit the role of main villain. He works better as the wildcard stirring the chaos of genetic power loose in the world. This may well be crazy, but how many minds would be blown if after all this time Lewis Dodgson was the one who corrupted Wu, and enticed Hoskins with trainable Raptors and corrupted the true purpose of Lockwood's foundation through Eli Mills?

That would make so much sense and I can actually see this happened im Dominion. I'm 99.9% sure that Dodgson still tried to somehow get his hands on the Dinosaurs. Maybe BioSyn tried to buy InGen after the 1997 Incident, but they were beaten by Masrani Global. There are some theories that Dodgson actually spied on Billy Brennan and maybe blackmailed him to steal dinosaur eggs from Isla Sorna in JP3, however I personally think that he and other BioSyn Scientists illegally and possibly Wu went to Isla Sorna between 1997 and 2001 and created the illegally cloned Dinosaurs, such as the Spinosaurus, the Ceratosaurus, the Ankylosaurus, the Corythosaurus, the JP3 Raptors and possibly even more, however for some reason they abandoned the island. Since Wu is heavily hinted that he is going to work along with BioSyn. The possibility that Dodgson corrupted him might be a reality and I'm pretty sure that Dodgson has somewhat influenced Hoskins and Eli Mills to cause the events of Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

@the cat First off, are you talking reality or fantasy here? If we're talking about the real animals, then no, T-Rex is not overrated by any means, but our current understanding of these animals scientifically definitely affirms that T-Rex was the largest and most powerful of all theropods and terrestrial carnivores, and it would be the undisputed victor in virtually all battles with other theropods, including Giga and Spino. If we're talking about these movies alone, then yeah, they have absolutely mistreated and downplayed the T-Rex and overrated and exaggerated other theropods that normally would not be either larger or stronger than a T-Rex, and they've betrayed the audience and the franchise which established the T-Rex as its core icon and star attraction that's always in the background ready to rule the day and spread dread in everything around. Thus far only Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Fallen Kingdom have treated the T-Rex with due respect and admiration, which are coincidentally also the best movies in the franchise. Although we didn't need any more movies after the first two films, which makes up a perfect duology of two cinematic masterpieces telling a story with a definitive beginning and ending.

Dodgson’s death in the book was one of the worst ways to go - a slow but agonising one. One of the Tyrannosaur’s bring him to the nest and breaks his legs by biting them. Dodgson is then eaten slowly by not one but three baby rex’s - one starts biting his leg, another begins chewing on his waist and the last one takes a chunk of his cheek off before tearing into his throat.

With the actor for Lewis being in jail I think that they probably won’t do it. JP isn’t really a franchise to recast people, so I don’t know that I believe they would reintroduce a company who’s only recognizable piece in the cinematic versions is missing. I actually though about Gosling recently, and what I don't want is the Jurassic franchise to turn into is this thing where they're just booking giant names. Sometimes I feel that takes away. I know that Pratt has exploded now, but when he took Jurassic World he had just become super relevant in the movie world from The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy, both released the year before JW. I know that people are talking about Sam Neil and Laura Dern coming back and Jeff Goldblum was just in the movie, but think about what brought those three people to fame. Even in The Lost World with Vince Vaughn, he wasn't a superstar yet. I'm kind of rambling at this point,so I hope you know what I'm trying to say. I just want the story and creatures to play more of a part in the films than the publicity that the people in it bring.

If I recall from the first movie, they said that retrieving the embryos would help BioSyn catch up on "20 years of research." Assuming the company still exists, even though they never got the embryos, I feel that 25 years later they would at least have advanced far enough to be able to extract dinosaur DNA. That being said, I would love for them to appear in some capacity in JW3, since it should be especially easy for them to have access to dinosaurs. However, I'm not sure how they could fit into the plot.

That would be a good plot point for JW3. Maybe Biosyn does something similar to Atlas from Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and starts off looking like a savior figure building walls to protect cities and town but later you find out that they have been capturing dinosaurs and extracting DNA from them in order to create human-dino hybrids. This hybrid plot was going to be part of the original story pitch for JP4/JW1 but was scrapped during preproduction and I think bringing back Ingen's rival Biosyn and having them make hybrid abominations would be a great way to wow the audience and fans of the older material and extended universe. It would also be great if maybe John Hammond's grandkids Lex and Tim were the main characters of this movie and they're working with Owen, Claire, and maybe as many of the actors from the previous movies as you can get to close the Pandora's Box their grandfather opened when he began constructing the original Jurassic Park. Honestly, if they did go with this plot the best format to tell the story and get some of the old cast back without trying to cram in cameo after cameo would be for Netflix or a major television network to get the rights to turn this into either a single season miniseries or, if this was an ideal world, something like the Walking Dead with dinosaurs replacing zombies and give it three to five seasons to flesh out the world and characters with the destruction of Biosyn's main headquarters/lab as part of the finale and maybe the first or last hybrid they fight is Dr. Henry Wu infused with the DNA of the Indominus Rex or Indoraptor.

Biosyn should've been THE pig plot point of JP3. It would've been perfect. The feathered velociraptors, the secrets. JP3 had such a mysterious tone, and could've been the best sequel if the second and third act delt with Biosyn

Imagine this: A truck hauling a very sturdy metal box with holes in the top pulls up to the side of a very large and impressive building. A man jumps out of the truck with a clipboard a rings a buzzer mounted beside the only door on this particularly private and shaded stretch of wall. A man cracks open the door and asks if he can help the man. He says, "I've been ordered to bring this specimen to a Mr. Lewis Dodgson." The man at the door nods and motions to someone out of site. Another man walks out of the door and proceeds to take the clipboard from the man. We get a shot of the paper on the clipboard and are able to make out the words 'Juvenile Allosaurus.' "No stops from the manor all the way to Palo Alto?" "No senor," responds the truck driver. "Good. I've waited long enough." END SCENE. How great of a sequence would that be!?
