What Happened To BioSyn After Jurassic Park? - We've Got Dodgson Here In Jurassic World: Dominion

In this video I ask what happened to BioSyn after Jurassic Park ended. The line "We've got Dodgson here" from the 1993 film kind of explains it all since Jurassic World: Dominion will have the Dinosaurs meet up with Scott Campbell's portrayal of the InGen rival come 2022. Basically I say that Colin Trevorrow and the cast should give ample explanation as to how they're connected to the original film as well as what's been going on since The Lost World. Since we're discussing BioSyn in Jurassic World Dominion, I'd like to bring up a few more points of interest throughout the franchise that may or may not involve Biosyn: -Biosyn's role in Jurassic Park: The Game & how the corporate espionage goes further with Miles Chadwick & Nima Cruz -The possible implications that Biosyn could've also had always had corporate spies working within Ingen all along (Biosyn was present throughout all the films, except JPIII, just undercover) -Manta Corp (mentioned in Camp Cretaceous) possibly being another branch of Biosyn -A possible connection between Biosyn, Vick Hoskins, Eli Mills & another possibility that Biosyn could have had members at the Lockwood Manor auction -Biosyn possibly being the "outside sources" that stole genetic equipment between the events of Jurassic World & Fallen Kingdom (Klayton Fioriti discussed this in a separate video)

In my head canon, Peter Ludlow’s plan on shipping the dinosaurs to San Diego for profit, thanks to the deconstruction on Nublar shown in the deleted scene, was the cause of Lewis Dodgson who manipulated him so his company would steal the samples faster than the previous, and make their own dinosaurs. And in-canon, it’s obvious that the whole BioSyn planning for hybridization is only for weapons of war rather than park attractions, while also create and release accurate dinosaurs for agricultural, industrial and sports hunting.

My theory - movie opens with a super cut of events from older movies - shows what happened with dodgeson after jp1 and possibly shows how interacting with main characters from follow up films. Then it cuts to present day, and we have a sudden ‘oh snap’ moment. Dominion shows a heavy focus on dinosaurs being actively interfering with the natural order and human ecology. Perhaps some of this tech auctioned off finally found its way into Biosyn hands. Personally hope that we see some secret thing that Nedry had already set in motion that allowed the continued interference on biosyns part through jp2/jp3 and jw1. Personally feel as though if they portrayed a major influence from the previous films leading up to a penultimate moment, plus the exciting addition of og jurassic park cast members we might get a full arc and an actual closer for the original film (as jp2/jp3 were definitely not this).

I really like the idea that the sudden population loss may have been a BioSyn operation to remove animals from Sorna ahead of their transferal to Jurassic World. I mean, Sorna was a HUGE island and we see in Camp Cretaceous that Nublar, a much smaller site, has undetected breaches so I think it is well within the realms of possibility. I hope that BioSyn gets explored to some extent in Dominion, but would also be okay with the door being left open for an anthology film, too.

Thanks for bringing up the guy on the boat. I've seen so many reviewers (usually the first reaction reviewers) that seem to think that Nedry was just going to get on the boat and leave without paying attention to what was really happening and realizing that he intended to come back and turn the park's power back on and make it look like just a temporary hiccup in the power. After all he did mention that some of the systems might go on and off for a while, showing what he intended to do.

I think after the disaster at Jurassic Park, Biosyn decided to lay low for awhile so that way no one could trace the sabotage to them. When Simon Masrani took over InGen and open Jurassic World, Biosyn could have seen that obtaining embryos illegally would not be in their favor for some time.

I read that Biosyn might have had been hiding all this time. They were bidding their time until InGen completely fell, which given what happened in Jurassic World, the company might have had died with the park for real this time. The article I read also mentioned that in Dominion, Biosyn will be likely trying to present themselves as the only one who can offer the solution to contain the dinosaur outbreak When they are being reintroduced, they should keep in mind that while fans are quite familiar with Biosyn, casual audience does not, and probably have already forgotten who Dodgson once. Myself is not really familiar with the book role, but I guess we could probably see an elaborate lengthy explanation, most probably will be seen in the flashback, if what you theorized in your video about the Site B container is true, Klayton

I could see them explaining Dodgson as having funneled most of the species off of Sorna while the events of Jurassic World took place. Biosyn could even be responsible for tampering with some of the dinosaurs on Sorna. I could see a brilliant setup in the new film when we learn that Dodgson (and this is me fanboying here...) that he managed to take the Spinosaurus from Sorna to the mainland, and then it has a rematch with the JP Tyrannosaurus.

My question is this: Do you think the Jurassic Park series would benefit for having a Rogue One like film or films filling in some gaps in the story? Like one where indeed Biosyn has a more prominent role(This might be a moot subject after JW:D), or one about the adventures of Dr. Wu between JP and JW. There are dozens of subjects what could be the basis of such a film but that is a different discussion :D. "I'd like to hear from you in the comments down below" ;-).

Just something that I observed, in the original theatrical cut of the film, for the most part, there are no filters. In Jurassic World, there is a blue filter on screen, to maybe touch up the appearance of the actors or something, but in the first one in 1993, there are no filters, showing plain and simply the facts of what is to happen and why we should not mess with evolution, symbolizing that these are animals and not monsters as we think they are. The only part that might have a slight yellow filter is the scene with dodgson and nedry, and the filter, to me, shows that they are trying to conceal something. I know this is probably purely coincidental, but it accentuates the message and theme of the movie for me.

Do you think that after the accident in 1993 that BioSyn in general decided to back away to avoid suspiscion, im sure after that incident and the San Diego incident there was massive repercusions for InGen that BioSyn didn't want anything to do with. Maybe it scared them a little bit and realized what kind of trouble they could get into with Dinosaurs. Now with dinsaurs going all over the black market BioSyn and escepcially Dodgson see this as a prime opportunity to get back into the dino game and maybe even get ahead of everyone in terms of genetic power. This has given them a chance to fly under the radar and get a massive boost if maybe they can get their hands on the dinos before anyone else does.

Honestly I believe Dr. Wu has been doing their dirty work since we saw him in Jurassic World, I highly doubt BioSyn had no involvement in the plans for the Indominus and Indoraptor. A bit of the “pulling the strings from the shadows” type of deal. I honestly half except Dodgson to say he pushed for the Indominus Project to deliberately destroy Jurassic World while using the research gathered during the creation process to further their own goals. There’s a lot of things BioSyn could’ve secretly had a hand in, corporate espionage is kind of their specialty. The number of things they could’ve been responsible for is endless once you start with the Spinosaurus in JP3

@@prehistorichero2755 Considering how bad an idea weaponizing dinosaurs is, I’d say Dodgson allowed both Vic Hoskins and Mills to go ahead with it knowing that they’d fail but would gather extremely valuable information on Hybridization for BioSyn in the process. BioSyn skips the leg work and the people who could blow the lid off the operation die. All of it gets wrapped up in a neat little bow as BioSyn reaps the largest rewards from the process
