Caesars reservations call center is so annoying with those questions. My favorite is asking what time I'll be arriving as though it matters. And the only reason you're calling in the first place is bc their computer system is so bad.

Legally, you are required to report ALL income on your 1040. Doesn’t matter where it comes from. Income is income and it has to be reported. However, you can write off your gambling losses against your gambling winnings, up to the amount of the winnings.

Bill you are dead on about the Caesars 7 star service. I am 7 stars purely from poker, I recognize I bring nothing to the table and they are probably sorry they allowed someone to make it through poker. I try to never bother them for anything because I know I'm lucky to get what I get. I'm a Vegas local, we were thinking about going to tahoe for an offer, we called up the seven star reservation line, they explain we will still get $1000 in free play in Vegas, so we book Caesars. Show up the first day to Rewards, they say there are problems management will need to look at it. Day 2, different manager still looking into it. Day 3 oh you need to go to hosts office. Day 4 hosts don't know what to do, obviously I check out and hear NOTHING back even though I exchanged my number with 5 different people. Left me with such a bad taste in my mouth, and was never even left with a sorry or final answer.

Horseracing modified that 300-1 irs ticket a few years ago under the Trump administration. Now it's an accumulation of your ticket. Let's say you spend $100 on a pick 4 or a trifecta ticket. You multiple $100×$300=$30k. Under 30k, no, signer. Over 30k, signer. Before you could spend 2 grand on a ticket and if it wins $610 it was an irs signer🙄. Much better now.
