There's a massive vault at Night Shift Forrest. There's an NPC there that, when given a sprite, will give you the key for the vault.

I kept running up to the NPC with a sprite but it was never giving me the prompt to show item to get the card…but I went back to always find a closed vault. Did you notice you had to do something specific to get it? Cloud sprite only? People getting the key and not opening it?

There is a 3rd sprite. The Earth sprite. I'm told they only spawn in 2 of these per round. You give them a weapon and the return you a Mythic weapon I think. For the Boons, you can also return the sprites to a sprite shrine, and along with some loot, it will give you a boon as well.

Also, I did some testing. You can only return a single Sprite to a Sprite Shrine. Once you do it's already given you loot and a boon and won't let you do it again. But you can rotate to another Shrine and repeat the process for more loot and Boons.

I'm only mentioning it because I feel like people haven't picked up in on it a lot yet -- but the vault in the night forest can be opened by "showing" a spirit to the bush ranger NPC! They will turn the forest to daytime and give you a vault key. It's a pretty decent vault, too, and it's always been uncontested even in late-game when I've played. I discovered how to open it by accident because I love the bush ranger haha

The void boon was the first I’ve ever gotten and it was from one of those special chests, so I can confirm they are not exclusive to the boss at the temple.

The weapons are a little too strong . Hitscan feels so good but the guns have so little bloom and recoil that it just feels like every gun is an aimbot. Also do both the scope weapons not have aim assist when scoped in? I don't feel aim assist when both the smg and ar are scoped in but in third person they do have aim assist.

when you bring the water sprite to the temples it will always give u the boon that makes you heal in water and if you give it the air sprite it will give u the boon that makes you run faster with your pickaxe out

Anyone else has the feeling like these weapons were originally designed as projectile weapons? The bullet flying shows much slower than the original hitscan weapons. They are hitscan, no debate there. Just the bullet you see flying goes slower. Jake even looks like he's leading his shots in some of these clips.

I really like it I’m 42 and got into the game playing with my 8 year old , I been playing a year . I like this season, I played only an-hour so far . The sight thing reminds me of metal gear solid 5 , I like the wall jumps but can see sweats taking advantage of it. I got killed trying to hit someone with a void mask lol, my first game I presumed it was a damage weapon. I like the little water guy that travels on our backs. First impressions, I like it. With the void teleport you can cancel it to trick people into thinking you’re about to take it. You just switch to a weapon right after pressing the teleport which will cancel it, but it still keeps the teleport available.

I'm getting a lot of high kill games and just having fun. I like the sword and Void Mask. The void mask is like phasing in Apex with Wraith sorta, so it's a lot of fun to throw in high places and surprise your enemy with a TP. Hit scan weapons are awesome, my favorite is the holo AR and the shotgun that is kinda like the drum one with a lower fire rate. You can press Shift on keyboard to change sights with the scoped weapons. I really like the sprites too, the shield sprite is like a shield keg but has 3 charges. If you don't have shockwaves and need mobility or to rotate use the cloud / air sprites. Thanks for making this awesome vid Jake.

The guns are too strong. Especially the scoped ones. Ttk is crazy fast atm. Also I'm confused about the air boons. They have 3 charges but you use them by throwing them on the ground to get launched so you never use the other charges unless you come back to the same spot right?

You can also use them against enemies to destroy builds and CC them, so it isn't just for your own mobility.

Not a fan of the new shotguns, especially the auto shotgun with 7 shots (using two ammo per shot) and a drum mag. I like both ARs though. Especially that i can choose not to use the scope, so cool!

the sword is really good, lowkey high mobility. Not a lot of people like it but i love it. I dont do the double jump or dash until im going to get into a fight, otherwise since the stamina lasts so long on it if you dont jump i only sprint with it and crouch slide spam cancel, there is this animation cancel from the sword sprint that boosts you while slide cancel spamming, i hit the rhythm right for it and i was moovvviinnnnggg for literally ever, and then i jump into the air and can sword slam onto someone or instant swap to shotgun or sprays for more damage, sword is really great movement i love it

There are fire (faster reload), void (scan enemies on knock), air (move faster with pickaxe out), and water boons (heal in water). You can find air and warer sprites all over the map. There is an earth sprite as well that remains stationary and seems to have a low random spawn rate. He'll ask for a weapon and upgrade it to legendary (or did both times I found him).

Not sure if this is common knowledge yet but a friend of mine discovered that after air dashing with the typhoon blade, switching weapon and switching back gives you back your air dash allowing you to chain air dashes, it also doesn't stop you from air dashing even if you're at 0 stamina but in my experience it felt slower at 0 stamina. Also be careful how much you spam it because it can cause you to start floating away even after you stop dashing and in one case that we saw it can push you around extremely fast without you being able to control your own movement.

Overall season seems really good (I mean hard to tell on first day especially cause I have a wee virus so only had the energy to play for like 30 mins, but at least at a glance). The only downside is that to me the medallions seem too OP, I mean at least on paper, didn't encounter them today, but they do seem way too strong (but I hope I'm overestimating them and that they would be balanced)

You can map the toggle to any key you like. If you turn if on, and toggle one of the AR to remove ADS for example, if you get rebooted the setting gets reset. So you can't for example set it to non-ADS mode (which is what I like) and forget it. You have to keep goggling it back off (in my case) if you're on a creative map or reload map for example. Sucks it defaults to "on".

Shogun X drops a Mythic Typhoon Blade, a Mythic Fire Oni Mask (that has 16 total shots instead of the standard’s 8) and that invisibility medallion. Also I think the items you get from shrines depends on the sprite you give it. I’ve gotten healing items from presenting a water sprite and mobility items from presenting a wind sprite, idk if that’s coincidence though.

Boons can also be retrieved by returning a Sprite to a Sprite shrine. I believe I got one of the void boons by returning a wind Sprite to a shrine. 👍🏻 there’s also supposed to be a third Sprite but I haven’t seen it yet. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You can get void boons without fighting the samurai.. i thought you couldnt too but it just happened in my game
