A great lineup of channels for an inexpensive price. I got Frndly TV for the extra access to the Weigel channels (METV, METV+, H&I, Start TV, Story TV, Movies! and Catchy TV). I have them OTA, but they are on an unmanned LPTV that can be off on occasion with the Pacific storms along the coast. Frndly TV is a great back up!

We really like Frndly which has the many channels we like. I like how they have the weather channel as well and now accu.We just add our ota antenna for our local news. When hockey season comes i do have to get fubo for the winter only. Im not sure if there is a standalone package for any hockey team. Thanks Luke for all your hard work. I found friendly TV when they we're testing pre launch and have been with them ever since. It's a wonderful mixture of new channels that carry current programing and those that are nostalgic. The price is surprising since they have almost 50 channels. Unique features such as the 72 hour look back. I'm also happy that they focus as they say on friendly / family friendly channels. Many I believe will find this a wonderful add on to other services. I use Philo and between the two have everything I want at under $30

I have had FrndlyTV as an add-on to KZbinTV for several years. I started just to get Hallmark movies when YTTV didn't have them. But I kept it even after YTTV added Hallmark because I love the vintage TV and movies that are very limited on YTTV. Can't beat the price!

Absolute best service out there. I did get a discount on cable, but the apartments I live at stopped including cable. The price went from 19.99 to 97.99, so I cut the cable cord. I can't live without my Family Feud on Game Show Network after work (2nd. shift), so Frndly TV kept that going for me for much less money.

When I cut the cord in March 2023 due the price of Spectrum gone up I went to KZbin TV and I got Friendly TV as well so that I could get the History channel A&E and H&I channel I truly did my homework by having everything I had with Spectrum for less money

Frndly tv is good for me because I live in an area that does not have many subchannels over the air. I can get NBC CBS ect. with over air antenna and the subchannels that are not available in my area like ME tv I watch on the app.

Frndly advertising the starting price point as "SD" is akin to adding resort fees or other unbundling like hotels and airlines. I don't understand having a higher price for HD. It's the standard now. I feel like charging more for HD is like charging for no ice.

I live in Puerto Rico and i don't now if it was a incrising in the price but i like so because i was paying 8.99 (i have the option to record)and now am paying begining now in october 9.99 so i think it was a increase. But i stay with the app because they are chanels that i don't have in my cable tv.

While I'm not interested (I have all those networks through other streaming / live services I already subscribe to) I can see how this would be popular for people who can't miss Matlock or Ancient Aliens. In all seriousness I think it'll have a hard time surviving. I'm also one of the few who care very, very little about sports-ball content - I believe one of the live services (Philo) is a great option if you're not into sports.

I am a subscriber to frndly, I subscribed to get weather channel, History, curiosity, and some of the older shows of in the 60s. I like the features of being able to go back and search what it has been playing during the day and catching some of those shows, then other feature being able to play show from the beginning when I turned in late. I paid for the year subscription but I do not get any DVR with that. My only gripe is I do not like most of the Hallmark channel shows .. Christmas all day everyday or woman terrorized, I don't like the crime shows cuz they always focus on murdering women and I find the whole entire friendly package is geared more towards shows for men: westerns, outdoor hunting, action adventure for men shows and those violence towards women crime shows are my experience, is my only gripe. Even the Hallmark channel most of the shows are some kind terrorize women killing them themes. I hope this channel adds more content that is woman friendly some home gardening or diy hack, budget or educational finance would be welcomed with less of the Hallmark year round Christmas stuff. I'll give it one year and then decide to keep or dump

Frindly TV is another Philo came out yearsss ago long ago was with unlimited DVR & i remembered was used to be $15 a month & was poplar streaming app was with the 60 channels, liked it alot, now is $25 or something like that, I had Philo like for a year back in day .. i don't know like was decade ago from the beginning of my cord cutting.. now is Frndly TV same shyt & low price gonna crawl up bit by bit like used to be $7 a month when they started

From what you're showing in this video it doesn't look like there's unique content to make it worth the $8 versus free streaming services. The only thing I see of value is A&E and the History Channel, but all those two were showing just before I cut the cord were reruns and (what I call) "conspiracy" shows that were really cheaply made. I'll stick with my OTA antenna and the free streaming services. FWIW - MeTV, ION TV and a lot of similar are available as sub-channels of the major OTA broadcaster's main channels.

Hulu @ $8/mo is a much, much better option as an Add-on, plus they have original content. Optionally for an additional $10/mo ($18/mo) Hulu offers you an Ad-free option. DVR .. I'm sorry but it's literally a joke considering all that content is already VOD and nothing is actually "live."

Hulu is boring. I had Hulu for about 6 months at one time before. It got to the point to where I was never using it anymore so I cancelled it. None of their original content was ever worth viewing anyway

The real joke is a service charging you to watch ads with no way to skip them. IMO the only Hulu service worth paying for is the ad free option. However, at $17.99/mo that is way overpriced. Better option would be the Disney +/ Hulu ad free premium bundle for $19.99/mo but even that is overpriced. The DVR feature is extremely useful with Frndly and other live tv services, because it allows you to skip over the ads.

Huh 🤔 Frndly has live channels like Fubo or KZbin tv does. They have on demand too. Hulu plan you are talking about isn’t live tv. I have that Hulu plan and have Frndly as well. Of course Hulu plan has more on demand content because that’s what they specialize in.

@@JadeK297 .. The only thing that's on TV that's ever "live" are news, sporting events and other special live events. Everything else has been recorded weeks or months or longer ago. I use Hulu as a glorified DVR or VOD service that removes commercials that otherwise on YTTV I'd have to otherwise skip.

They're probably not going to be around for very long if I were to wager. There are a lot of people out there though that don't need ESPN or RSNs or Local channels so they might have a chance - but competing against the free ad supported services (even at $8 a month) is going to be tough.

It's not weighed down with a bunch of useless channels that people have to pay big bucks for. In all actuality I can see more of these kinds of services becoming available as people are tired of paying outrageous prices for TV
