I advise when the cake cools down, but some bakers do that when the cake is hot. Either way, won’t hurt the cake. Also, a little goes a long way. You don’t want a cake with a strong smell of alcohol.

Yes, I bought it dried but you can make yours. You don’t need to add the lemons when soaking your fruits. You add that directly to the cake batter when mixing. 💕

Yes! you can even soak it 4 hours before or boiled in sugar syrup. But remember to educate them that it cannot sit for years but will sit for months and must be wrapped in film and kept in a freezer.
