My question is why do we have to unlock them? I’m able to order a tune and put it on the truck no issue but if I want to make my own I have to unlock them first? How is this? I currently have an mm3 on my truck but I’m looking to fine tune my tune.

How do you read a stock file on a Dodge if the PCM is locked?

@@gregstoehr7155 you read it with the mpvi device. you can read file, make any adjustments you wanna make. its not until you go to write the file to the vehicle that youll have to have credits and/or unlock service

I have a question. I own a 2017 Ford Focus and have to replace the TCM. Will my original backup reflash this new TCM that hasn’t yet been programmed? Is there any additional cost beyond the credit requirements or do I need to send the TCM to reflash. My model is a 2017 Ford Focus, 4dr, SE, flex fuel with a hatchback.

My 1999 dodge comes with a locked ECM. I want to change program. How do I proceed?? I will reprogram even if I have to put in an aftermarket computer. I need to print out the complete computer code. How do I do that?

Takes a lot longer than the time stated for the L5P E41 ECM Exchange, HP signed for receiving mine over 5 weeks ago, still no notification that the exchange ecm has shipped yet. So be prepared for at least a 6 week waiting period.

How many credits do I need to edit my C7 ZR1? FICM, CCM, ECM AND TCM? I already had the car tuned so the ECM and TCM have already been unlocked. Thank you

Hello! The C7 ZR1 takes ten credits to license. Once you license the vehicle you can write to the ECM as many times as you wish. For brevity's sake the FICM, CCM, and TCM are additional credit costs which can be found on our Supported Vehicle page under "GM Additional Supported Controllers." www.hptuners.com/vehicles/
