My parents gave clues that we were going to lease( without actually saying DO YOU WANT TO LEASE A HORSE, if so, you can) for tommorow at the barn, I have ridden her a lot, I groom her at least 2 times a week, feed tons of treats to her, she also loves us, and always wants us to stay( yesterday she pawed at the ground because she wanted my mom to stay BTW I couldn't go) so I was not there) UPDATE: I GOT A HORSE YEAH

I lease a horse from my trainer. I ride him 4 times a week, 1 is a lesson and the others are just lease rides. Thankfully no one else rides him other then my trainer every now and then. That's why I love it because its only $200 a month and it's like i own him

Can you just help me with the following I really want to start leasing a horse my parents says no So I decided I'm going to be doing a lot of chores and have good grades and also save up The reason I want to lease is because I can't really afford my own horse and all the tack and boarding because we are living in the city so do you have idea what more I can to do let my parent say yes?? Also I don't have a lot of time in the day my sister is out of school so we will visit on weekends and holidays :( and in school days I go to school for a long time I had lessons before and I'm aged 12 Love Lara Hope you can help me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

i have a video on how i asked my parents to let me buy a horse and that worked! so, it’d be a bit of a different thing, but that should help. i think it sounds like an okay time in your equestrian journey to start leasing a horse, so try to find some options :)

Lara McCabe I’ve been asking for 2 years and now I have started to part lease. I go up 2 days a week. I’ve been riding for 10 years and I told them I want to move on to something I can compete more. I tried everything from writing sheets of paper saying why and costs, trying to take care of my family dog as much as possible and we just found the perfect one
@emandlil8712 жыл бұрын
I dont know if you have started to lease or not, but what helped me convince my parents is getting my grades up to all A's, doing chores, and spending as much time as possible at the barn! If you show them how dedicated you are to horseriding! I also am a part-time babysitter which really helps with costs! So main tips would be, try to get a small job like babysitting/pettsiting etc. and try and show them that you really are dedicated! Good luck!

soooo i’m buying a horse in 9 months (low key far away still) and i am boarding because we do not own a barn.. anyway there is an indoor and outdoor arena that i can use anytime and the boarding cost is only $250 per month. ☺️

Thanks for the info! When doing a part time lease do you have to have your own tack? Or does the owner lend you the horses tack?
@cognitiveconnectiondressage4 жыл бұрын
it depends! typically the owner will lend you tack, but i’ve also heard of the leasers having to buy their own; you just have to talk to whoever you’re leasing from :)
@ptvlogz85864 жыл бұрын
Delaney Januzzi my part lease we don’t have to and to use all of their tack
@Ashie100913 жыл бұрын
Usually they provide tack because it’s easier that way. The tack is already properly fitting and what not

How do you know if you are ready to lease a horse? I want to do one lesson a week and do 1 or 2 lease rides a week. What kind of things do you have to know to do that?
@cognitiveconnectiondressage4 жыл бұрын
it depends on each person but you should be able to: catch the horse, groom the horse, tack up the horse, warm them up, and ask for w/t/c on your own/unsupervised.

Ok so I pay $500 to lease a horse, but I ride twice a week, and one of those days is a lesson. This seems too pricey, but I love the horse, and he and I are great partners. Should I find another horse?
@cognitiveconnectiondressage4 жыл бұрын
hmmm. i think it’s to each their own; in combination with lessons, i’d say that’s reasonable.

@@denisejohnson2190 Yeah, no one wants to ride him and he’s really crazy but I recently learned he’s from a fancy sport horse breeder so that could factor in to it

Can you make An aggremend to lease a horse till it passes away. But still pay monthly? Sorry if I so und stupid😂
@cognitiveconnectiondressage4 жыл бұрын
i would say you could just go month by month at that point, as most of the time death in horses comes unexpected and sudden. so, pay at the beginning of every month worth the intention of leasing the horse for the remainder of their life, but you wouldn’t neccesarily need to say “i will lease this horse until it dies” :)

Hi i’m think i’m going to start leasing and i was wondering do i do a trial for the lease and a vet check? if we do is the vet check after the trial? and how much money is too much for a lease? thanks!
@claire256383 жыл бұрын
and for offsite lease is it always that i pay for the vet, farrier etc. or is it different for every seller
@faithashley45253 жыл бұрын
Typically you should try the horse out at their barn first, then vet check. That way if you do a trial week and the vet check doesn’t come back clear they can’t say you did something to their horse. As for the vet and farrier, yes you would pay for it just like the horse is your own.

It really depends, but I’d say you could probably ride as often as you want with an off site lease.

Also when you lease a horse can you ride it whenever? Or are there certain times? I'm a beginner rider (just started yesterday) and I want to practice more and all that so yeah..
@cognitiveconnectiondressage4 жыл бұрын
- i would suggest looking for a work for lease program! - you typically have lease days that you can come and ride on. - i would reccomend getting more riding lessons until you have an independent seat and can ride w/t/c before seeking a lease :)
