A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is a document issued by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) assessing the impact of hiring a foreign national in Canada.
A positive LMIA indicates that there is no Canadian citizen or permanent resident to fill a position, therefore enabling an employer to hire a foreign national.
A negative LMIA indicates that a position should be filled by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and hence a foreign worker may not be hired for that role in that company.
A foreign national cannot apply for an LMIA. Rather, LMIAs are documents that must be applied for by a Canadian employer.

Hello sir, While filling up my ITA, there is a question asking the “Intended work in canada, does (my name) have a job offer in canada?” I had answered “yes” earlier(while creating EE profile) , and now got to know this is applicable for those applicants who have LMIA approved. I do not have LMIA, so should I be opting for “no”? I don’t see any difference in my score if I change my answer, I was planning to upload a letter of explanation saying I misunderstood the question while submitting my EE profile in pool and now I’m fixing it with no change in score. Do you think this is fine and be accepted? or can they reject it? Will appreciate if you answer as I’ll be submitting my ITA soon!

Hi Sir, I received the ITA and have an LMIA not from a current employer. My checklist contains "Employment Records" for the 4 entries I added, 3 past employers and 1 current employer. It also includes the "Offer of Employment" that I understand is the "Job Offer" that extended me after receiving the LMIA. What would be the "Letter of Employment" then ? Currently we are in Canada and I just submitted my PR application. My wife has a visitor visa for next 18 months and she is in Canada. I wanted to raise a TRV for my spouse as it's expired. As we already submitted the scanned passport stamping pages for the PR application and this is going to be a new stamping on her passport. Do we need to update IRCC on this or is it Okay apply for the TRV and leave it without updating them since they have her UCI and they can track it easily I believe.

Hello sir please help me with this confusion Applied Student SDS visa for Jan 23 in Canada I had done my upfront medical on 25 june 2022 and filled visa on 24 august I got the medical request again on 12 October. I got the IMM1107 E form I had raised webform with confirmation letter of my medical data sent to ircc from hospital and it also stated the medical was completed. Hospital authorities told me to sent this letter via webform it will automatically update It’s almost been month shall I wait for the answer or do another medical with new IME number generated by them ?

I worked for company A(Bangalore) from the year 2012 to 2016. In middle, I went to two onsites to other country(4 months and 1.6 years) through the same company A. I mentioned in the work history 2012 to 2016 as one experience in company A(single reference letter) and the location Bangalore. Hi Kubeir, I am in a situation and need your help related to education points. Here is the issue, When I got the ITA, Exactly same details are filled over there what i have filled while submitting the EE Profile. When I click on Preview My Score I got extra points for education (126 instead of 119). I did bachelors(3 years) in india and Msc(2 years) in india for these 2 courses WES gave me CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY as Bachelor's degree (three years) and bachelor's degree (four years). what should i do now in this case, pls advice. thank you

I have to strongly disagree with you regarding bill c-19 making FSW people difficult. Yes, it will make a lot of NOC B people difficult. But why a FSW person with CRS of 475 and his occupation is on demand in Canada won't benefit from NOC based draw? If anything he will be more suited with NOC based draw than current draw. Yes, I agree if bill c-19 draw asks candidates with job offer or Canadian experience or education as a minimum criteria to be eligible for group draws than it becomes impossible. However, if it is all program NOC based draw it has to depend on quota that will be allocated to the particular NOC. And regarding regulated profession NOC they have to target overseas people cause people inside Canada will get their PR within no time and what about fresh people they need? Only NOC B skill type will be hampered by this bill c-19. I don't see any reason why overseas candidate with CRS score of 475 with his occupation on demand has no chance in bill c-19 draw than this current draw?

One thing you should not forget is if draw goes in similar trend till March, CRS score will come down to 480 below. So even bill c-19 has to select people from this current pool. Yes, I knw pool is dynamic and all but CRS will go below 480 in March. So I have no reason to think candidate with 470 above which FSW people could get won't be benefitted with NOC draws. Yes, only thing that can stop FSW people from getting ITA is if NOC draws strictly says we want CEC or job offer people in that NOC rather than all program NOC based draws.

@@AskKubeir My apologies sir. 2022-23 NOC on demand maybe different than that of 2015 i.e. pre-ee era. But 50 NOCs that were eligible for FSW overseas people in 2015 can be a good indicator where things might be heading for FSW people. I guess you might agree on that. Difference being only CRS points separating people whereas candidates with 67 FSW eligible points who submitted their application asap were given PR in 2015.
