Oh God! I work in FL since ver. 3.5 (2005), and it is the first time i see how plugin preset is dragged by sheet icon! Mama mia, how much bloat preserts i created to move them between mixer channels. It appeared to be so simple after 17 years! You just made me spring from chair and run shouting! Thank you!

Actually your brain can learn to hear certain frequencies more precisely over time. This is especially the case with noticing which frequencies are masking each other. It takes several years of eqing and practice though. At first I honestly was completely lost on how to eq my instruments.
@TheSimpleCitizen2 жыл бұрын
@@rebirth4119 i think ur right about that. I've been doing music production for a little over a year now , actively, although I've been writing music for a long time.. I was lost at first but once i started to try anyway, and address questions and obstacles as they came along, and learn how to eq by application and tutorials, everything else started to find it's way into place.

Would have been cooler to hear the comparison between the low boost with and without the dip afterwards. Sure it sounds better when you boost the lows, because they just get louder and louder always sounds better

I agree your point, for the people not understanding they are saying the comparison shown in the video is between pultec style EQ trick vs no EQ change at all but a comparison between a standard low boost (without dip after it) vs pultec boost (with dip after it) would have been better to show the audible difference of the 2.

You should make a video on how to glue drum breaks with samples so that they feel like they're in the same room. Many times when you drag a random drum break into your project, the sample and the break feel very separated. Would love to know how to process a drum break so that everything sounds and feels cohesive. I've tried using the convolver and various reverbs to achieve this, which 5/10 times would sound okay but surely there must be a better/more constructed way to achieve this. Let's assume my sound choice is on point.

Because its analog
@pegirusbeats44712 жыл бұрын
@@NMGKULTRAPARADISE Ah ok thanks
@MaxvanSchoonderwoerd2 жыл бұрын
they are not better and no they are not analog they are just software plugins that emulate an analog effect. so they aren't better they are just different than normal plugins. you use them if you want a simular sound as a real analog effect like compressor or eq
@NMGKULTRAPARADISE2 жыл бұрын
@@pegirusbeats4471 I think is depends on the type of song you are going for. Personally, I bypass all Analog options on any plugin. Wether it be a Compressor or Delay. I'm also making hip-hop music with bpms of 130-170. I haven't found the need for it.

@gaspergerm74242 жыл бұрын
this really feels like a dumb question, but I don't think this technique is suited for mixing trap/808 bass. Seems only suitable for bass sounds that are saturated/dense waveform and have a weaker low end or for genres that use a lot of sounds in a track. If you did this to a hiphop record it would either turn your woofer into an AC and clip the hell out of the track. I'm not that advanced, so please tell me if I'm wrong..
@theMixElite2 жыл бұрын
You're wrong, but don't worry. There is no rule that this won't fit into a single genre. This technique has to be used depending on how your track sounds, and whether your mix of yours requires Pultec EQ technique or not. It has nothing to do with the genre - but with the tonal (frequency) balance of your track.
