its 2023. did u fixed the pad stall? or that is deliberately left out still just to get the debate going and make rupes more famous? When the cordless versions of big bigfeet are coming? again its 2023.. since now u r in usa, maybe Milwaukee can help with some battery tech. Lastly, can i get rupes made in Italy? i just dnt trust Americans with their Friday builds and Monday hungover builds concepts.... we see that in cars manufacturing where nuts and bolts are missing and fuses are not seated properly on 100k+ flagships. Side note: Rupes, take ur manufacturing back to Italy ASAP, its already making me sway towards a German made flex.. also cordless.. also no stall. The only thing i cant stand about flex is that red color they use, i wish it was brighter... but anyways if i buy those, i'll customize those with carbon fiber body to cover that sad upsetting dark red lol

Wonderful video gentlemen! Thank you for being very thorough and explaining all the steps. I started my prosumer detailing journey last Summer through the help of Pan The Organizer. I have already performed a single step polish last year using a different polish. Of course, it enhanced the gloss, but I have shiny scratches now haha. I've been looking heavily at your brand for my next paint correction session this coming summer. At which point, I'm going to do a two-step process. I drive a Ford so not too hard but not too soft on the paint. I believe I will use the blue wool pad for cutting and finishing with the yellow foam pad. From all the Rupes videos I've been watching, I can get a nice jeweling through this combo on medium paint. I wanted to ask, because I didn't see it in the video, how do you go about cleaning the fiber pads between each section pass? I have a pad brush for my foam pads, but I have a feeling it's a different procedure for fiber pads. Thank you so much for any advice!

Hello thank you for watching. Don't get too tied up in researching what you will need for your car, apply the techniques outlined in the video to determine what "works for your car", the correct product and process is the one that works on "your car" and that is why Rupes outlined the test spot routine.

i have to diasgree with microfiber vs wool. Wool cuts and finish better than microfiber, i have tested this multpile times on multiple vehicles. Also long throws are superiour compared to forced rotation when it comes to cutting power. Also i think that using 21 with 5" inch backing plate gives you best correction power and beats rotarty with 5" pad. Great machines all in all. I just got the hlr75 and it is mind blowing good. By far best and strongest 3" da polisher.

its tottaly wrong .Orbital 21 mm cant be better cut then rotary .Maybe your rotary wools not so good
@jtm1979
@jtm1979 5 ай бұрын
@@BirwaxDetailing I have tested it with many pads. Only time i use rotary is if i have to do two or more cutting sets. Then I use 10" twisted wool which is very fast to do but it leaves horrible holograms and I do another cutting set with 21/5" wool and it removes rest of the scratches abd holograms. I have done this for 10 years and probably done more pad/polish/machine tests than 99% detailers.
@BirwaxDetailing
@BirwaxDetailing 5 ай бұрын
@@jtm1979 brother why hologram is problem gor you ? if you use rotary and wool pad ofc there will be some holograms . But all we know if you are use rotarr you will use orbital for step 2 and 3 .Hologram is not problem.İm uaing rotary around 15 years in my country.No body can prove that orbital 21 wool or microfiber pad cut better then rotary with wool pad. Im living in turkiye so our cars are really hard not like europe or america.Really hard paints.So there is only one way to cut scratches .I tried every pads and every polish compounds with lhr 21 or flex but its just take my time much .I mean wasting time..
@jtm1979
@jtm1979 5 ай бұрын
@@BirwaxDetailing many pro's agree with me. I didn't say holograms are problem, but very light finishing step isn't necessarily enough to remove then. So if one cutting set is enough 21 is better choice because you can always finish it with one more step, sometimes its not even necessary. if i do that one set with 10" twisted wool, there is big probability that i have to do medium step and finishing step. So that's 3 steps. If however one cutting set isn't enough, i do the first with rotary because 10" wool is faster to do big areas than 5" wool and doesn't require pad cleaning as much. So i do very fast set with rotary following another set with 21(removes holograms and the rest of the scratches). Im not sure if you understand what i mean. So yeah for me rotary is only for very specific cases and with large wool pad only or sometimes jeweling. Also spot work. But most of the work i do with long throws.

We cannot comment for Rupes, you may want to reach out to them directly. We have been selling Rupes in Canada since 2013 and have not seen any differences from the machines that were built in Italy versus the ones made in the USA. As for the pad stall, I believe you are referring to the Bigfoot 15 and 21 machines, these are designed that way for added protection. If you want a machine with no stall then the Rupes Mille which is a forced rotation machine might be a better choice for you.
@RUPES
@RUPES Жыл бұрын
"ts 2023. did u fixed the pad stall?" Pad stall is a designed feature of a random orbital which is a built in safety feature. Orbital tools produce 85% (minimum) to 100% of their movement from the orbital action, so loosing a maximum of 15% of the pad's speed (only at the very outer edge) is obviously not going change the result. Pad spin offers the benefits of cooling the pad and creating a better finish. It is also a good indicator that the tool is being operated correctly on an appropriately sized body panel. Pad spin is not necessary for paint correction and, as you said it is 2023. Most of the users understand this now. "or that is deliberately left out still just to get the debate going and make rupes more famous?" That is a false dichotomy: You presented two options (fixing something that doesn't need to be fixed) or it must be some marketing scheme... Neither is correct. "When the cordless versions of big bigfeet are coming? again its 2023.. since now u r in usa, maybe Milwaukee can help with some battery tech." RUPES stated goal is to make battery tools comparable in weight and power to the corded versions available. While we appreciate the suggestion, we want to make sure we reach the goal. The HLR75 is both lighter and more powerful than the LHR75E and we plan to continue that moving forward. "Lastly, can i get rupes made in Italy? i just dnt trust Americans with their Friday builds and Monday hungover builds concepts.... we see that in cars manufacturing where nuts and bolts are missing and fuses are not seated properly on 100k+ flagships. " I cannot comment on car manufacturers nor the suggestion that this would carry over to USA manufacturing in every single industry... Polishers manufactured in both the USA and Italy are made the same standards. Build quality is carefully inspected and tight records of return rates and defects are kept. There is no quality difference between the manufacturing location and you are getting a high-quality polisher with a return rate FAR BELOW the average for tool manufacturers. “Side note: Rupes, take ur manufacturing back to Italy ASAP, its already making me sway towards a German made flex.. also cordless.. also no stall." As addressed, RUPES maintains strict build quality protocols regardless of the tool's final assembly. Based on rumors of another industry, we hope you will understand us not changing our whole business model. Thank you earnestly for the suggestions. Even when we disagree, we value all of our customer's feedback and appreciate the time it takes to write them. Yours in better polishing.
