A warning for the actual Khorovod task where you need to transit to light the Christmas trees in each location: If you do it with a squad and one of you dies, you'll need to reset because the survivors won't get the achievement. This is all the more exasperating because the Transit bug of spawning without your own team mates and quite often with other groups of PMC's. The good news is, most people are doing the same task but there are still some bad eggs. Very frustrating and not very well thought through.

After Christmas Dinner is a quest to kill 10 PMCs dressed as Santa. It rewards 3 flash drives and 2 gpus, all FIR. So definitely expect some imposter Santas. They aren't being punks, they're after those hard to get items.

The "christmas village" is actually supposed to be a Christmas Market I'm pretty sure, quite common here in Europe. Also when doing Khorovod, if another group starts the generator and doing the quest, you can also progress it without even going near it, the transit opens up for you too.

I got frostbite in one raid not on that khoravad mode, its weather, a sort of blizzard comes in, gets very foggy and snowy and if you are outside you get frostbite debuff

Yup same. I was sniping on top of radar station on reserve. Screen got frosty during a blizzard. Ran down into bunker / D2 and the debuff went away.

Grenades aren’t blowing up sometimes, and so far I have dropped Santa every time on pve and he has even attacked me once in factory. Scav karma seems to stay the same.

For me Santa, Ded Moroz and Rogues never stop aggro at me in PVE.

I've noticed on PVE, if your scav karma I'd negative at all Santa will aggro your scav, following the same rules as regular scavs so definitely watch out if you accidentally pop a scav or a boss during a scav raid. You'll wanna boost your fence standing before running into Santa.

PVE player here, I was able to get the frostbite effect on most maps in random areas. I haven't tested if they're in the same spot or not, but it can be done in normal matchmaking.

I understand the frustration, but looking at the bigger picture, it lengthens the mid-game HAAAARD. Most people rush 15 and then just focus on making money to pay for their hideout. Now your midgame is slowed down to find the stuff yourself.

@@fryingpan94 it doesn't really. The hideout is nice but not a must have. It doesn't slow you down that much, it is more like the no-flea that does that. Now there is essentially no money sink so you can still get rich from scavving and arena but without any major thing to spend all that money. Just like before people will spam their scavs and pick up all the hideout items they need...

I am loving the FIR hideout, and no flea change. This is what Tarkov is supposed to feel like... a post apocalyptic survival looter shooter. It is not designed to be a stock market sim. Roubles dont matter as much, finding all of the random items is more exciting. Actually needing to using all the barters for kits is a good thing. If you are looking for an easy, fast, and simple game.... arena is good.

For the final bit of Khorovod. Bring an extra fuel or find one off a scav. There is no fuel on the final transit point Interchange. The rules? Go to the tree. Find the gen. Fuel it it with the special fuel. Repair the issues that happen. Multitool speeds up repairs. Transit will open once the 5min gen is on. You can extract and leave early on all maps but interchange meaning no fuel there you die. Have fun gamers. See you in tarkov.

chilly/frostbite effect is enabled on regular raids as of last night, seems to be nighttime raids primarily, the stam penalty is pretty brutal so be prepared for zero stam regen situations outdoors

I accidentally got frostbite tweaking my graphics settings, I sat still for maybe 2 minutes or so and got the effect. This was in training mode on PVE though. Need to test it in actual raid today.

I got frostbite woods a little after 5pm it was very foggy(cold) the weather, but eventually it cleared up. lasted maybe 10 min

Chilly is definetly bound to the weather, only once it snowed for me and about 30sec into the raid ive got the chilly effect.

It is not on only Khorovod mode btw, in shoreline and pretty much every map but factory and labs I've gotten frostbite, it looks like a snowstorm almost though, like it gets really foggy, wind picks up, and you get the frostbite effect.

I stay frostbite on woods. Just be outside for a minute or whatever, I did my task first woods raid I did. Sucks trying to run to get anywhere with the debuff though

You have to be in snow to get the frost bite but not every map snows all the time, it's still dependent on the 'current weather conditions'

Up by the radio tower on customs theres a drunken crashed santa crate you can loot every raid. (in pve, idk about pvp)

Ive had no issues with rhe synchronization between arena and EFT. Its been really fun grinding the Christmas event for it,and helps me stay funded while i die over and over doing GZ quests LMAO

I'm having a strange bug in PVE where during the Khorovod runs that I've been doing trying to solo the event, (I haven't tested single transits, as I haven't died on the lighthouse generator yet) when I die, my gear is reset to the most recent successful transit (If I made it from Reserve to Woods, then died on Woods, I would still have the loadout/loot I had in my inventory after successfully exiting Reserve). However, I still receive the full exp for the run, including kills I got on the map in which I died. Not a particularly harmful bug (keeps me from going bankrupt from attempting the event), but a bug nonetheless.

I had a crazy raid on pve where i tried finding the christmas market in the lumber mill on woods, but i had to fight shturman and pmcs, with a mid tier sks build and ps rounds. I managed, looted up decently, tried finding the secret extrat, and left. But it reset entirely. I was heartbroken...

I keep having issues running my scav, every time I try to load into any map as scav, it keeps force closing tark or resetting my pc. Only had this happen once before after they released the streets expansion was completely unplayable as scav. Pmc works completely fine just no scav runs for me apparently hahaha

I had the PVE issue of my raids not counting while I was trying to hunt shturman. Through some testing I discovered that for some reason, if I had a thermal on my M700 when I left the raid, it wouldn’t count. If I took the thermal off my gun and people it in my backpack it would count the raid. Weird stuff man…

For frostbite you need to encounter 'special weather on a map'. It happens sometimes. It looks like a blizzard - this is how you get frostbite effect.I just saw it once for like 20 games so far (on customs)

had the "raid not counting" issue on GZ yesterday, after using car extract and get a run through. i even got a "end of raid screen" from someone else. showed me kills i didnt got. after getting back to stash, my character had still the same stuff as going in. not even the money for the car extract was used. but that was in PVP, not PVE...

I actually had rollback issue yesterday on PVP - I went into the raid, did some quests, extracted and then on kills screen I saw my kills from previous raid. After I went to my character screen I saw that all my quests were not counted and everything was basically reset to the state before the raid.

Also does anyone else experience some strange behavior with head hitboxes? In the past 3 days of this wipe I've experienced more helmet ricochet/absorption than in any previous wipe as a whole. Another scenario: I am playing scav, have shotgun with grizzly slug, go into bunker on reserve and encounter raiders. I only managed to make couple of shots on one raider before I was killed, but I could swear that I shot him directly in the face. On stats screen it said that I hit 3 out of 4 shots and all it went into armor.

Can’t claim my gift. Says “gift is not activated. User doesn’t have an account”…. I sent a bug report through the launcher. I also lost all my purchased usec outfits. The ones bought with in game currency I can see resetting and you having to buy again every wipe but ones I paid for? IDK I can do without all the cosmetics if the game is optimized. Right now it’s extremely buggy and the sound!!!!! OMG THE SOUND!!!!!

Mannequins haven't been fixed for PvE still, me and my friends are still having constant issues with crashes, blue screens and a stupid glitch where you spawn in raid but with the main menu stuck on your screen, BSG couldn't be saltier about people choosing PvE.
