the way to fix suppressor meta is to make them work more realistically, the only way your guns should be super quiet is if you use subsonic, if your bullet isnt subsonic then you dont get super quiet!

This so much, Supersonic ammo is always loud, regaurdless of suppressors. I mean they help, but they're nowhere near "stealthy" or how they are in tarkov atm.

Just give suppressors their own durability that wears down if you use anything other than subsonic ammo. 7n39 and M885a1 will cook your PBS-4 within 40 rounds. Maybe make suppressors found in raid only, or just more expensive at the traders. Sure meta gamers with 8 digit roubles in stash can just buy a bunch then carry extras in a backpack but they need to take a few seconds to switch out a burnt suppressor and winning a fight against them wins you the suppressors in their backpack.

that and suppressors should be cooking your durability, if you think of durability in terms of 'how operable is the gun'. Suppressed guns - even tuned ones - get dirty much quicker.

It also unbalances the value of loot to where if you need to upgrade your hideout still, lots of loot is significantly more valuable... but as soon as you don't need it anymore it's utterly worthless. As a base game player, the whole found in raid requirement isn't just about the stash upgrades, it's about EVERYTHING. Since I'm gonna have to hoard things like car batteries for vents since they're so rare (for me, at least), I'm gonna have no space for anything else, even if I get like 10 junk boxes. It's going to make the game borderline unplayable LOL. Only thing keeping me in the game this wipe is the fact that I can abuse insurance return windows as extra storage for my gear, but it's not a great solution.

If BSG really wanted to slow down progress, without harming "standard" accounts, they would simply introduce a requirement for FIR items for the flea market, not the shelter. This would solve the problems of resellers of "ammo"\"items", in general, people who make millions without leaving the shelter. Or simply limit the number of purchases and sales per day on the flea market. On the one hand, this allows you to buy some of the items that you lack, but also does not allow you to "cash in".

The found in raid requirement for the hideout seems unnecessary. I'm really not sure why they added it, besides just to make the game harder (as if the game needs that). It's going to make half of the items to craft useless, as you're probably going to finish the quests requiring those items before you complete that part of the hideout. Pretty frustrating to me...

One of the best things they added this wipe is the ability to set priority on your containers. Makes sorting my stash SO much less of a hassle since I can just Ctrl+click everything instead of having to drag it all. Great video!

My only pain about the FIR hideout items are things like toolsets, and how it's killed most barters from traders. I need 1 toolset to finally break down the annoying wall, but i can't cause I need a FIR toolset. Normally, I would trade with mechanic for one but it needs FIR now. I have NEVER found a toolset in raid, not ever.

the FIR requirement for hideout stuff is really fucking annoying. it's annoying in particular as a PvE player, because for me, i don't play Tarkov super often. the whole reason I play PvE is for a more chill (and hacker-free) experience. being able to buy items i haven't had any luck finding in raid when I know I can get valuables was great. especially when i've gone through 20 or 30 raids without finding the item I need, and i'm only one item away. i feel like the last part really applies to both PvP and PvE though. it gave you an option to skip the RNG if you're having shit luck getting loot spawns. but it's especially annoying in the gamemode where the whole point is i can take it slower, without wiping, and i don't have to play at much to stay in the game. it's just frustrating. i sort of get what they're going for, but i'm really not sure why it had to apply to both zones, or why it really needed to be a change in the first place. sure, being forced to hunt for loot is nice, but at some point (imo) you have to let the player decide how they want to interact with the game instead of forcing them to interact with the game in a way you or extremely vocal players deem appropriate. they took away my ability to choose whether or not i stuck it out to find the item or blew an obscene amount of roubles on it on the flea, and i really dislike them removing player agency in that regard. otherwise so far the wipe has good changes, but the FIR requirement for hideout items is a big let down for me personally.

The hideout FIR requirements tanks the Tarkov economy completely, and makes it virtually impossible for casual players to actually prestige or progress at a decent rate. The idea of having to hoard construction materials instead of actually engaging in gameplay to me seems a bit boring & subtracts from where the fun of the game lies, PVP, not hoarding bolts & nuts and extracting with them because they now hold more value than a labs access card if you want to progress your hideout..

I dont quite agree with you. While you bring forward good points, the alternative will just have you run the same 2-3 spots on a map, fight for them with the rest of the lobby, only to maybe get them out, only to sell and buy what you actually need. In other words, the Hideout upgrade might as well be filled with just a rouble amount requirement, cuz that's all it is. Yes, the progress is much slower, and without a way to progress the Hideout via Flea Market, it loses even more use. But it's an extraction shooter aimed at showing scarcity. Not a Capture the Flag type game mode, as it was previous wipes. And this is coming from a Standard Account user that plays like 1-2 hours a day max. You got a whole year to upgrade that Hideout. Yall complain when you can no longer get a bitcoin mine up in 2 weeks.

On the flip side though, it is now far easier to make money just selling other things, and you don't have to blow all your roubles on hideout materials. You can use the roubles to buy gear and ammo instead. But yes, it is supremely irritating as a standard account user that I have to choose between having decent gear and having the materials I need for upgrading my hideout because I can't just buy it off the flea. I haven't tried PvP this wipe, I've just been on PvE because I don't want to deal with arena booster accounts outgearing me again.

Another huge bonus from the blizzards, while its obvious they are doing them in bursts to test frotbite effects, it levels your immunity as it gives you like 6 different debuffs for 20s each proc. You dont HAVE to bring in croutons or energy drinks anymore to level the skill a bit

Wipes going great so far, loving the fact that flea is locked behind a time gate, FIR items for hideout really isn't as bad as people fear and this is coming from someone who has maybe 2-3 hours to play every evening. I recommend anyone who has Tarkov to try this wipe with a friend or two, it'll just take some minor relearning is all.

Basically, "top" was obtained due to early completion of quests, rushing the laboratory and reselling items on the flea market. And none of this solves FIR items for the shelter. It's just that now the amount of grind has increased several times, and for those who were already "rushing the kappa" nothing has changed. Ps. It looks more like Nikita's attempt to sell "storage expansion" because now there is an immeasurable amount of "things" that need to be stored.

FIR for hideout: GREAT and should remain throughout the wipe, every raid has added risk because you have a measuring tape in your backpack and you need that for a thing. Tarkov has lost that feeling with all the crutches it has given us, this addition alone brings some of it back. No Flea for two weeks, arguably the best decision they made for this wipe and should seriously consider keeping it until people hit level 42. The amount of randomly put together weapons I've run into is amazing and maps feel alive because not everyone has access to suppressors (which need an overhaul anyways). Customs expansion: AMAZING, choke point map gets to breathe finally. People camping in the windows can be solved with roaming Scavs. They should be made to enter those buildings more frequently, they already do but more would force players to kill them thus revealing someone's inside. Had that happen plenty of times playing Customs so I'm not too bothered by it. The map is amazing now. The audio is better? Yeah, no, it's not. There's bugs, there's issues, that Australian guy nearly cried because of them, but that's business as usual for BSG. As far as playing experience goes, one of the best wipes ever.

And that risk means that people just leave the raid immediately after finding one item they need. Meaning that actually, there's much less risk, because there's less people that are willing to fight you in every raid. I've ran into like none of them. May be people on your servers are just bad at the game? The weapons I run into are mostly the best attachments for their level that are available on traders, or guns that are decent stock.

I love no flea. And i love fir hideout. Slowing down and stretching out the early wipe is fun fun fun. Tarkov is not a casual game so any casual gamer like myself has to take the good with the bad right on the chin with this game. Hardcore is why I play, low lows and high highs. Nuff said.

This wipe would be great except for all the f*cking technical problems me and my friend is having. You know there is a problem when in a single day I 1-went deaf and had to restart 2-my friend got stuck so we had to kill him for his gear 3-we could not get into a custom raid I would load in and he wouldn’t 4-when audio decides that you won’t hear shit (extremely muffled even though I’ve been outside all raid) 5-random disconnects on both sides 6-extreme rubber banding… the list goes on and on but you get the point. Last wipe was much better in terms of the game actually functioning

Good thing that you've talked about the scav menace in blizzards. Idk what BSG doesn't understand about balancing them, there are mods for SPT that fixed this, made for free by community members btw. So it can't be that hard, can it? Apart from this, I really like the locked flea market to remove the edge turbosweats have, it creates a more even playing field.

I don’t like the FIR hideout because it doesn’t make sense. A PMC isn’t a construction worker, with access to a market they would probably buy supplies and labor to help build so you can think of labor fee included in that 40k rouble lightbulb when you upgrade the lights or whatever

FIR hideout makes me want to get out of raid whenever I find something I have been looking for. Before this you could easily just put it in your container and get on with whatever you are doing but now you are forced to just get out if you want to actually progress your hideout. I remember something in a old video about FIR flea you said something similar to this and I believe its the same case here.

Also there's a huge problems with scavs right now, outside of having perfect vision. They once again have the same aimbot they had 3 wipes ago. I just got killed off of forttress by a graham scav from the metal stairs on small dorms. Shitsa unreal.

I feel like the FIR hideout continues the standard kick in the teeth that casual Tarkov players usually get. The everyday 8-hour players get full hideout like they would anyway with a lil bit of annoyance finding one or 2 things. The casual players with an hour or two to jump in will never get anything maxed out and be halfway into wipe trying to get a FIR led-x or something.

We've been getting some type of bug that gives us tenitus lol. Our ears start ringing and we cant hear anything, as if we stepped on a landmine. Specifically lighthouse and woods. Its a doozy sometimes lol

The audio is so bad and weird. I go to the lighthouse (not willingly), spawn next to Southem road extract and somehow my ears are ringing from rogues shooting AGS-30. That has to be atleast 2km. My PCM must have super hearing or some shit. I dont know how is he so sensitive.

If they just nerfed supressors to realistic level, nobody would bother using them. Because irl, if you use a weapon unsilenced it can be heard from like 2 miles, with supressors it can be heard from nearly a mile. Not that big of difference, if course if youre using subsonic ammo that distance is lowered to around 200.

@@29mattti why would a suppressor negatively impact bullet velocity? And -20 ergo that suppressors give is adequate, because it goes in addition to their weight, which also negatively impacts ADS speed and arm stamina. Yes, of course, they should be way louder. That solves the problem entirely.

@@29mattti lol. While suppressors with rubber baffles do somewhat affect the bullet velocity, that's not why they work. Suppressors trap hot expanding gasses, preventing them from exiting the barrel and making the noise. And most modern suppressors just have expansion chambers, there's nothing to slow down the bullet. IIRC they even boost muzzle velocity somewhat. And no, with subsonic ammo it's barely audible even at ~50 meters. Cuz there's no supersonic crack of the bullet, suppressors are actually pretty good at making the shot itself quiet.

How about this as a compromise: No Flea *and* hideout materials need FIR for the first 2 weeks. Unlock Flea after 2 weeks. Remove FIR restriction after 4 weeks. Slows progression early wipe but allows people to make up the difference later on in the wipe. Otherwise we've all just been locked into a softcore Hardcore mode...

I will forever die on the hill that Flea Market requires two restrictions; 1) It should not be available for the first month of wipe. The game needs to extend the "scrounge what yo can to survive" aspect, from a lot fo people ive heard from, thats when the game is most enjoyable and thrilling. People get bored after just the first month simply BECAUSE they can just go buy everything they need from the Flea within the first week after rushing the level requirement. 2) It should also be locked behind a certain quest point, nothing too late game, but also nothing too soon. This adds in a lore aspect of having done enough jobs with the necessary people that they now trust you enough to give you access. For the people that quest rush, this wont impact anyone as theyll still have to wait out the month lock. For those that take their time or play casually they should still be able to get to this pint by the months end. This however is mainly just for those sweatboys that will wait out the month before even starting to play, and then jump on when flea opens up and go straight into end game gear within the first week again as if this requirements were never added to begin with. If they did this, i would 100% be alot more active in playing Tarkov again instead of every few wipes as the scrounge to survive aspect is when i enjoy it most, then gets boring after the flea opens up and everyones running top gear.

The game was much better when you could just sell stuff and buy gear, when progression wasn't mandatory. Because you didn't need to play for 8 hours a day then to keep up. People didn't just quit 2 weeks into the wipe, nobody was talking about the "early wipe" as a good thing. The only thing that Flea Market restrictions do is make trader levels mandatory to buy good gear. And trader levels can only be acquired through time investment. So people who can't invest that much time just don't. As a result, you see a huge surge of players during the wipe day, and then they just leave, because they stop being able to compete with people who are much higher level.

the FIR hideout change I get the feeling is JUST to entice standard users to buy a more expensive version. Seriously - the whole point of unlocking Flea Market at a level cap is that once you reach that level you can immediately catch up to where your stash should be by that level and not faff about trying to find an absurd number of lightbulbs and bolts. thats going to be a pain in the ass for EOD users, imagine how bad it'll be for people that have to entirely upgrade their stash.

Leviticus has to be trolling with this video, he addressed everything that was intended and left the gamebreaking bugs out this was one of the worst wipes to be playing on day 1, you get: -much less fps on ground zero -crashes before you load in -getting stuck in 1 spot when you load into raid -scavs still eating headshots (just my experience though) -invisible scavs killing you -the game freezing for a second consistently i don't know if these were fixed, but it was quite literally unplayable

Big pve player here, first time in a while I've had fun with the PVP side during wipe. The found in raid requirement is ok but I believe they HAVE to make the things you trade items for with trades found in raid. I've found maybe two working lcds in my entire time playing pve I don't think will be able to get all three ever. Also the scavs are cracked.
