Spirit class ships will always be the very best size in my experience. Unfortunately you're right. They are not putting the resources into them and my past two have been sub-par as far as food and ship upkeep. That's really sad, but you can see the business reasoning. I'd LOVE for them to do a complete remodel of all of those ships and stop with the low quality food, but it's never going to happen because they don't make the money that they do on the behemoths. You really just can't beat them for service or social vibe.

Yes, you may attend every show and there are no reservations. Only issue you might have is some shows happen at the same time.

Just took a 7 day a couple of weeks ago. To be fair, it's a newer ship. More eating options but smaller buffets. Room service only serves wings, pizza, fries, fried shrimp and Philly cheesecake sandwiches. Family Feud, Deal or No Deal (pay to play) & Bingo (pay to play) is fun as well as the other shows. One time room cleaning usually in the morning. No more secondary cleaning. Midnight (1130pm) buffet at Pig and Anchor, which only serves hotdogs and chicken fingers with sides. Pizza 🍕 is still everyone's favorite. The sandwiches are pre-made now to speed up service and heated in ovens behind the counter (Not too bad). Plenty of bars and ice cream machines. Strict enforcement of no underage youths at the Serenity Deck. And very strict enforcement of Mary Jane usage. Just be prepared to wait in line for EVERYTHING. Some lines move faster than others. And two captains dinners was 1 too many. Elevators are a joke as they're alot smaller and seems slower than other Carnival ships...

The elevators were very bad. Lines are a lot less if you go during off season when the kids are in school. Food quality is down across the. Fleet. We were on the Pride three months before the Celebration and the food was a lot worse there. Out of our three cruises this year so far, Celebration was the better food, but still not awesome. Carnival Paradise in three weeks.

bsmith, what do you mean by the well? What is a soda well on the ship? Is that less soda than a can of soda?

@nessundorma2000 There's a soda dispenser in the buffet area that gives you 9 seconds (countdown/ pay as you go) to fill your cup 🥤 or beverage vessel of choice with any one of the Pepsi products. I had a huge 64-ounce stainless steel (Ross or Marshall's) cup. That ish is hilarious 😂 when you see how fast that dispenser counts down! We had the beverage package. If you have the beverage package, you will not be able to have a can soda from the bar or restaurants (crazy huh?). All of you sodas will be from the fountain, no matter if you're at the bar or dining at any of the restaurants on board. I even tried to tip the bartender and was told beverage packages are not allowed canned beverages. I guess they think you're going to give it to someone else really weird! You can bring your own sodas on board if you like. I have been told prices and certain eateries that were free upon our sailing have changed as well. So, I would check the Carnival Celebration site for the changes that have taken place.

@@bsmith8209 Thanks for explaining. I’m going on the Celebration next year and I have the cheers package but I also want to drink a few sodas. Nine seconds to fill your cup?? That’s crazy. I was going to bring my Yeti cup. I guess I’ll leave it at home.

I was trying to find the complimentary dining options for The Carnival Celebration for breakfast and lunch and the main dining complimentary restaurants for dinner what buffet restaurants does Carnival Celebration have for breakfast and lunch and what should I look for complimentary dining options? I am having trouble finding them on the app! Please help! Thank you in advance

Hi, complimentary options for breakfast will be the buffet, guys pig and anchor, Shaqs big chicken, the main dining room, for lunch all of that will still be available, but also chibang and sushi.

We had anytime dining which gave us 3 different restaurants to choose from (printed on your sign and sail card) ChiBang, Italian Restaurant & Festivale Restaurant. We liked having 3 different options and on other sailings we only have 1 dining option for dinner other than the buffet (which is terribly smaller for such a large ship on the Celebration). Portions are smaller now to prevent food waste at all of the restaurants as well. Room service on our sailing only had pizza, wings (really good), fried shrimp, fries and a couple of sandwiches for a small fee (no more free room service)... We found the drinks were alot stronger at the Alchemy Bar. If you're a drinker I do recommend the drink package as they will add up if you buy separately (charged to your folio). We found that you have to wait 5 minutes before you can order your next drink which is monitored by the ships computer at the bar. Even if you find a server walking by they cannot swipe your sign and sail card until the 5 minute grace period has past. You are not allowed to purchase canned sodas with the drink package (weird) they have to come from the well. And there is a 15 drink maximum per person which includes sodas... I think the first 2 days we almost maxed out our daily allowance. But after that we didn't hardly come close (plenty of water) Also the drink package allows you a large bottle of water at certain specialty restaurants. Disembarkation will be a joke as everyone has to be off the ship by 0800ish. The reason being that the Platinum guests are allowed to board for the next sailing by 0930ish. If you have your passport Disembarkation is a breeze. Birth Certificate guest, be prepared to wait in a very long Customs line.

@bsmith8209 some great info here thanks, but sodas are not supposed to count against your 15 drink limit, only alcoholic drinks.

@allgoodontheroad You my ne correct. But the bar tender would not anyone with a drink package a canned soda. Only from the well. Although we only had a couple of sodas, I assumed it counted as a daily beverage. A lot has changed with this new ship. They've really tightened up with the wastefulness of the guest.
