I have been receiving a ton of questions through comments on KZbin and Instagram about my Au Pair experience and how I chose a family that was right for me... so I decided to make this video as something everyone who is considering becoming an au pair should watch! when i was about 8 or 9 i had an au pair for about 3 years from germany and she was literally apart of our family and she came back to be our au pair about 2 more times. im 18 now and were going to her wedding next year. but basically she inspired me to be an au pair :)

Hey! I live in Scotland, there are a LOT of great programmes and classes in Scottish cities to help with English, the kids here are great! You will likely find a huge community of non-english speakers, go for it! I’m sure you’ll love it and will feel very welcome

It depends on the family, some don't mind if you don't speak that language as long as you can communicate others want you to speak the language at least on a basic level for convenience, it really depends you would need to talk to them to know

i think i read somewhere that the families have to pay you some minimum "pocket money" which is $195.75 per week, but i don't know if that's the general rule or the rule of some agency

@@ununquadiumjorgensdottir1038 whilst they do normally give you 'pocket money' to use in your free time, i believe that its far less than almost $200 a week on average! ive seen most people say it was around $100 worth

definitely unusual to not get paud. being an au pair is a job! you makes pocket money. without getting paid you can get taken advantage of pretty easily

Hi, so I au paired through an agency. I think au pairing through an agency might make you feel a bit more safe? I hope that makes sense, but like if I were to have a problem with the family, I could just phone the agency. That is one of the pros of au pairing through an agency. Although I've heard some girls who are very happy going through au pair world!

take a language class! there will be a bunch of people new to the area who are also desperate for friends. don't be shy to approach friend groups like on the beach or somewhere!!

There are also tons of Facebook groups for au pairs in each city! Just search ‘x city’ au pairs on Facebook groups and you can meet up with all the other au pairs in the city! Or use the app meet-up where they have tons of events in every city based on similar hobbies and activities :)

Hello, I am looking for au pairs who have worked for a family in Minnesota. The (French) mother died in 2016 in (Seattle) and there are two children aged 7 and 5 Mulai and Basirou Carnagie. The nannies do not stay because they are not respected (!!!!) badly or not paid. They do not dare to file a complaint for fear of reprisals, lack of money and defense. Their testimony will help protect children as well as girls who are only slaves. It must stop! Thank you

If children scare you then I don’t think you should become an au pair. You’ll be miserable. You should work on your confidence and focus on what you really want to be doing right now in life. If the au pair job appeals to you because you get to travel to another country, then maybe look into internships abroad or something like that. Hope this helps ☺️

Maybe look for a family who has only one child so that you can better manage the new situation, or try doing baby-sitting in your city and see how it goes, you'll maybe change your mind! Wishing you all the best.

Through AuPair: It is Easy to hire a Married Live-In Filipina Housemaid by using AuPair. And it is an easy way to "clap" them "cheeks" once AuPair housemaids settle down in your house. FIRST: Agree on the amount you will pay the housemaid weekly; for me, this is $1,000 or $2,000 USD. SECOND: I would recommend to start "clapping" them "cheeks" on the second month just so that you can get to know them better as a person. And then start "clapping" them "cheeks," on the 2nd month. I have already hired at least three married Filipina housemaids in the past two years. And it's worth it! It feels good to Bust-A-Knott when you come home from a long day of work.
