Ding ding ding, this is the best assessment I've seen on anything relating to this topic. One of the absolute biggest reasons the steamdeck and ally x are preferable to the Rog ally and legion go is the battery life. The power to run better games means nothing for a handheld if that handheld is glued to an outlet or strapped to a battery pack. Nintendo in particular has set an ironclad precedent that portable consoles should be portable and there's no going back on things now. Everyone across the board and windows consoles in particular need to start thinking beyond raw performance metrics and focus in on user behavior and experience.

I was thinking about just getting the Go because the Switch and XB1 are all I have rn and I’ve been dying to be a part of the current gen/PC gaming. The price is also appealing. But if the 2 has these specs along with better battery and speakers it’ll have enough improvements to be worth the premium price for me

I just bought a Go today to have a windows option to my Steamdeck. I’ll be super into a Go 2 as I was looking into the Claw 8 as a future purchase. Super excited to see what the Go 2 has as competition!

I would say performance and battery bc if u want to play triple a games with 60fps with a 3hr gameplay time I think most gamers would be thrilled

It looks good but OLED at that size has yet to support VRR which you need more now than ever I’ll take 120-144hz VRR IPS over OLED 120hz no VRR.

I'm getting the legion go s steam edition, because I don't want to have to manually steam os and I think an 8 inch screen is big enough for me and I don't mind my steam decks 7 inch screen, but I think anything over 8 inch is to big for me. I think the z2 go will be a tad weaker than a z1 extreme, but not by much, though I think performance will still be good. I'm hoping the 32 gb of ram steam os version is $699 as that is the one I'm leaning towards to and want to save up for.

I wonder why the Windows Lego S is coming with BT 5.3 and the Steam OS has BT 5.2? Is this a misprint or are there going to be More than OS Differences between the Two.

In order for it to be more cost-effective for a majority of people to afford.. they need the lower specs.. which is why the steam deck was an is still so great.

I can't justify it. I save most of my money, and i understand I'm a scrooge, but over 800 dollars doesn't seem sustainable to me for these handhelds. I might as well get a laptop at that point.

so.. I'm returning a ROG Ally X I just bought for either a Legion GO or GO 2. I'm 54 and the screen on teh ASUS is too small :D

@@chromedragon70 I own both. I like the Ally X, but the screen size is too small. What people don’t realize is when you get your 40s you need a larger screen, unfortunately (or stupid reading glasses). However, the Lenovo go is the perfect size where I don’t need them. The size difference and portability (vs the X) is almost the same at the end of the day. I don’t mind paying $800 - $1000 if it has the power for AAA games, battery life, andscreen size necessary. Sure you could get a laptop, but I want the portability and I’m willing to pay a premium for that which is why I got these in the first place. I still use both systems but in different situations and scenarios. If this new one has same screen, more power, and better battery it’s worth the upgrade. Probably enough that I’d sell my Rog Ally X.

32gb is ram is unnecessary. how big was the increase in ally x over the og ally with the 24gb ram? what they should do is give the iGPU a big bump. The ryzen z2 extreme is rumored to have the 890m which is weird because they are releasing rdna 4 next year why not make the iGPU have rdna 4 architecture too? another thing is the battery. Given is massive size, lenovo should slap in a 100wh battery in there.

I would like the legion go 2. But 16:32gb is stupid. Just make all the devices at 24gb. 16 for cpu and 8 for the weak gpu

If im remembering correctly the legion go can use the ram to assist the graphics cards vram? So maybe that 32 is gonna be beneficial to that???

@@raychii7361 For 1080p Gaming 8gb sometimes do not cut for example Alam Wake 2. At least 12gb Vram and 16gb Ram if you use high res textures. If you play 720 p then its entirely dofferent story.then the Steam Decks 12gb Ram + 4gb for IGPU is enough.
