The demo was a ton of fun. I'm a huge Gundam fan already so being able to find and add good parts to upgrade your mobile suit (sort of) is appealing to me. I'm pre-ordered already! Almost like building Gunpla lol

A new co-op experience in the same vein as the Dragonball Xenoverse franchise. It's a very solid style and I love the fact that we can earn so many different types (plus we'll get more units via patches, like Phoenix Gundam).

Upside about the SD Gundam franchise vs 'normal/full size' Gundam is the SD series has a bunch of exclusive units from SD-only series such as Knight Gundam. The pre-order stuff is from Sangokushi aka Three Kingdoms, another thing that simply does not exist in the 'normal' canon. It's cool coz it's fun allowed, and for anyone who grew up with these toys, it's like playing with the capsule toys all over again.

Technically the Knight Gundam was full sized in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, but that series is never coming back sadly so this is the best we get 😔

It looks fun, but I always remember that I don't have appeal for SD Gundam ever since the early 2k anime debut. I want to see Dynasty Warriors Gundam being revived or Breaker series going to all Platforms including the Xbox platforms, Switch, Steam, and Playstation aswell.

I miss the old VS gundam games that basically let you relive the series sequences, even changing some aspects..a compilation game with updated graphics would excite me more than what ever online EVO focused VS game they come up with next.

Namco's done this with a few of its games regarding the steam release. When there's a global release like this, the game just gets released at the same time everywhere on steam once we reach the release date/time in Japan. Also, the only time I've seen Namco permanently lock out preorder content in the last several years is with Code Vein (and oddly enough, only with the PC release). They've been pretty good at eventually releasing the preorder content for future buyers especially if it involves actual playable units, but there's normally a six month-ish wait for people who didn't preorder the game.

I bought this Early And The morning beat like 2 bosses it's grind heavy Like the gundams you get you have to play the levels multiple times to get parts Also when you level up one gundam and pilot Through capital AKA money and it doesn't transfer over to Other's mobile suits are pilots Also there are certain levels that you can't play that are challenging if you're not at the right required level And there's also gundam suits mobile tiers Plans Gundam's take one tier Other suits take 3 tier plans Also there's no English translation Even when You put the settings on English the character still talking Japanese

So this game heavily like Dragonball Xenoverse 1 and 2 as far as storytelling goes. In those games you play as a Time Patroller and you're tasked with traveling through the canon DBZ timelines as well as alternate realities where villians and heroes of the series are in places they never should be in and also doing things they never should be doing like you allying with Frieza to defeat Goku instead of the other way around or Raditz turning into a great ape only instead of Vegeta and he's now enemies with Vegeta, forcing him to ally with Goku. Altered stuff like that. I know absolutely nothing about the Gundam series so whoever shows up to fight will be unknown to me, but I'm still getting this because of all of the different suits to play as well as the action.

Great summary for the game's release! I'm just annoyed that the demo isn't available on PC. Also, it's pretty weird that we get one of the final forms of Barbatos unlocked in the demo from one stage run, yet the RX-78 looks like it's going to take several runs in different difficulties (unless you preorder). The game is probably not going for a "earlier Gundam = weaker" approach, but it's still pretty funny to see that Amuro's first mech is going to take longer to get than one of the final forms of Barbatos.

I can’t wait to get it for Switch. Doesn’t take too much of a graphic hit and the mission length is perfect for on-the-go play. That being said it is wired how preorder for switch is working as apparently all the Bonus will just be free DLC for the frist 2 weeks of the games launch. Also I’m just happy to see gundam games coming back to the west.

The website is gonna be easier to read but doesn't get updated much so I don't know how accurate it is in terms of having all units but it has a good amount. Being a Gundam fan for over 15 years, I have to be honest with you all fellas out there. I do NOT think this game would last longer than the previous ones WITHOUT an incoming PvP mode. I played SD Gundam Online for 5 years until its server shutdown in 2015. You can’t imagine how much time and real money I have spent on that game, just to see all of it got taken away from me. Gundam is a long lasting series for sure, but in terms of games, these developers from Japan and Bandai Korea really have zero idea how to run a long term project. And this game looks like a cheap combination of SD Gundam Online 2 (the game which didn’t make it through the beta test) and SD Gundam G Generation to me. It’s an ugly fact, but a fact none the less. Bite me if you can list any Gundam game which last more than 2 years.

@@markspc1285 I tried it on PS4. Played for about 3 hours. The reason I didn't continue playing it is that I found it essentially too similar to MS Gundam Online on PC back in 2014. But that's just my first impression upon a 3 hour experience. I'll gather some friends and give it another try once it hits PC on Steam. So far the best mecha action/shooter game for me is still Titanfall series, despite of my being a Gundam fan for such a long time. Why? Cuz it has first person embarking and ejecting sequence! Plus the nuclear ejection is soooo gud!
