I wouldn't be surprised if Durandal considered putting her on the boat instead of Luna but Rey advised against it, since, due to having personal expirience, he knew Agnes would be a loose screw in the machine and that Luna would do better as part of the squad. Heck, Agnes was even less military material than Shinn. Minerva Corps was supposed to be an elite top unit, and it couldn't function well if its members were in a state of constant discord.

I never hated Rey. His death was 2. greatest injustice in Gundam franchise (Shinns disgrace was the 1.). Rey was just like everyone else at Messiah, doing what he thought was right. He should've lived. They should've brought him back. I mean, he finnaly makes HIS own decision and then just dies without trying to live HIS life, for however long it lasts. Basically maximum focus and determination single minded only on a single thing. But berserker can be considered as well because its the easiest way to achieve Seed mode. After all, say your family is being beat up and killed by this guy, out of desperation and determination, you rush to stop him, thus achieving Seed mode To activate via other objectives are way harder, hence Kira in Seed Destiny can easily activate, because he was very resolute in his ideals to stop war But he didn't Seed mode much in Seed Freedom because he was hesitating throughout

Wait, im confused. What's this claim on all the forums I read about a stolen Strike Freedom? If any at all? If someone doesn't mind explaining, i'd appreciate it. I keep reading around that supposedly Foundation got their hands on the Strike Freedom and damaged it in some way?

In the movie, there is a throwaway scene (3 seconds max) of the Strike Freedom getting destroyed by one of the Black Knights mobile suits (I can't remember which). Also, Shura (Commander of the Black Knights) recognizes Agnes' name in the movie when they first meet. It is explained in the side-novels that Agnes' boyfriend stole the original Strike Freedom and went ballistic, and the Black Knights (probably Shura) killed him for doing so. I believe this is why we get a Strike Freedom Spec II, since the original Strike Freedom didn't get damaged, and why Shura recognizes Agnes since she pulled the strings in order to get her boyfriend to pilot the Strike Freedom.

Leonard isn't on screen much - they gloss over it. But if you remember there was a scene of one of Foundation members cutting down the Strike Freedom when we first meet them. Leonard stole it and they put a stop to him, ultimately putting them in the good graces of Compass.

At about 3:40 >Shinn was the lowest of the low. Honestly? That tracks even as of the latter half of Destiny. The man legit required so many Silhouette Packs just to really get ONE hit in on the Freedom. And that was with Kira trying NOT to kill the man. Team Creuset from SEED - yes even Nicol - had better performance vs Kira than that. And once he was in the Destiny, he only held his own thanks to either being alongside Rey to cover him, numerical superiority, or the fact that Kira and Athrun STILL didn't want to kill him. He legit jobbed EVEN HARDER effectively. Oh sure he improved but let's be honest, nobody really gave their all versus him and once they did he went down faster than Nicol.

@@GundamHQ Lunamaria missing a ship I remember is a scene I looked SO hard for that's reached meme status, but couldn't find (admittably I couldn't stomach the last 2-3 episodes of Destiny and stopped). Like, these idiots are Red Suits, which are supposed to be elites. How the hell did they get ANYWHERE in Zaft with these skills? Also as a counterpoint about Shinn's successes: Shinn's more like 0079 Amuro before he got gud, but with his Newtype Hax and packing effectively a (Moon Gundam) Modified Rick Dijeh in the middle of Zeta (in terms of most suit specs). He's packing a suit SEVERELY outperforming the competition he accomplished against, with his Newtype abilities making up for his absolutely horrendous skills. If he couldn't accomplish anything with that I'd be shocked. Did... did Shinn even get a named major character kill now that I think about it in the entirety of Destiny? Excluding his Pity Victory over Kira. Edit: I will admit I am harsh on Shinn. But trust me, I am constantly pointing out Kira probably should be MORE dead by this point considering he has legitimate plot armor saving him from death outright thrice, and that most of his successes post-Strike Gundam are due to mystical hyper-ZERO System Aimbot bullshit his Gundams have that makes the literal time-traveling Newtype abilities of UC look like childsplay. I just don't like how Fukuda wrote SEED and it feels like the man has no sense on how to write Real Robots.

Tbh I don't think character writing is Gundam SEED's strongest department but kinda wish it was. This is just my opinion on the series btw and SEED is my first Gundam. It is seems that Gundam couldn't shake that one annoying female character off just like in most shonen anime media (I think Gundam covers both shonen and seinen but mecha seems to lean on shonen most of the time). It's as if as the writers deliberately does that, and the trope seems to trigger those who live in Atlantic Federation aka the West. I guess there's not enough Quesses to piss people off lol.

Before watching SEED FREEDOM, I thought she was a Quess which doesnt contribute anything to story After watching SEED Freedom, honestly Agnes actually written better than Quess, she was really a lost cause. But as a character she serves her purpose making Lunamaria said she really loves Shinn At least to us, the fan for 20 years. That is really a big win. Agnes word to Luna "I'm not like you, that settles with someone without trying... I will find good man" (not word by word but similar to that) and "That monkey? You seriously love that monkey boy?!" Is the voice of question why Luna ended up with Shinn from story point of view It's cringy but we like it lol

I'm just surprised they didn't give Agnes, the most volitile/unstable girl pilot in the movie a gigantic ass destroyer class mobile armor/gundam, like they did with quess or Stella. Truely breaking new ground in the latest gundam movie!

HA. nobody is beating any of them in a fistfight, all of them are coordinators and all know how to fight. I'd still fight Kira if I had to fight one. Because Kira would defeat me but he wouldn't seriously hurt me.

Can you explain what the seed destiny series reintroduced upgraded forms of some Og mobile suits from the universal century arc while not making an effort to make a brand new line of mobile suits? Besides the new gundams, it like they put new skins on old mobile suits. That being said, their new forms are way better than the original, more powerful and practical. Take the old and new gyan suit, the new very much better for actual combat, and the flair was rather practical, than grandstanding. The old one was like a puffy set of armor, how it bulges out at the wrist and ankles, and only have 2 weapons. The epyon gundam, that’s another story.

Spoilers Didn't Agnes Giebenrath betray Compass in the movie Gundam Seed Freedom for the Kingdom of Foundation (I saw few leaks but not the details)? I know that Kira and Lacus do end up together this movie creating kinda a Hibiki royal family that rules over both Earth and Plants. Ps. I still think that Flay Allster fans will say that she is the best girl in Gundam Seed franchise.

Shin has always suffered from a lack of focus on what matters most. All of his trauma leaves him very raw to his natural faults. It is why Athurn was never quite able to connect to Shin because Athurn was always a lot better at dealing with his own emotions, but Athurn always suffered because he was always indecisive outside of combat. So, Shin saw Athurn as someone to look up to but not someone who he could trust or guide him which Shin really needed given how lost he was.
