Yes! My friend is coming up to Tippy Dam soon along as well as my ~20 yr old kids for their first salmon fishing in the Manistee / Bear Creek area. I just shared this with him, as he literally said last night he doesn't know how to salmon fish! Thank you for this video!

I live on the Betsie and have enjoyed wading and drift boat fishing. This year I totally changed it up so now my favorite style is floating my cured spawn sacs when they are stacked off the lakeshore as they come in from Lake Michigan before the flip into the river. Campgires, cookouts, plenty of teamwork and lots of laughs! We watch you guys float spawn out in front of us. We have your spot marked lol! I seem to be the only female fishing on the wall and have a blast . What an epic living room the river is! I just landed my personal best the other night during the moonrise. He was a Monster King at 42" long 37lbs with a 26" girth! What a fight as he almost spooled me out but I gained control and brought him in within 15 minutes. He was my ninth fish since the first big flip. All others were beautiful young chromers giving me a freezer full of my epic salmon patties and tender skin on fillets. These next two weeks after this next flip, I'm anxiously excited to get on the pier with my local fishing buddies for Coho and Steelhead! I am fishing with a vintage downrigging B90-8' Berkley Buccaneer rod with with classic vintage Daiwa 7600 on it that I found at an antique shop amd a homeade 8 3/4" rod that was 9'. I repaired it with a new tip eye four years ago! It has a shakespeare Intrepid on it. I will give the skein float a try... thanks for the instruction! Since I could use a third rod, I will be tickeld pink if I win all this gear!

Another great video that inspires me to want to chase chrome every opportunity I get. I have spent more than 5 decades fishing for rainbows and salmon and at 67 years of age I am still eager to learn anything new. Thanks for your enthusiasm and sharing. My favourite presentation in the river is whatever works on any particular day. Some days it’s bottom bouncing. Often it’s floating. Other times flatfish, spinners or even five of diamonds spoons are the ticket. Every day is an adventure and figuring out what produces on that day is what keeps me coming back to the river.

Hi XXL Chrome Casting! Been watching you guys for a while and love your content!! My favourite type of river fishing is steelhead fishing in the fall. Caught my first steelhead on the centre pin last fall and it was such a memorable moment! I am from Ontario and love to fish the Lake Huron and Lake Ontario tributary’s! I recently started float fishing a little while go and have fallen in love with the type of fishing! You videos have taught me a lot and can’t wait for what you guys have to come!! I would truly enjoy a video explaining how to fish small river’s with gin clear water and what equipment to use to be stealthy enough to catch fish. I was recently fishing the Credit river in Missasauga and found it very difficult to catch fish in such clear water. Keep on posting these fire video!! Fish on!!

Hi! I love this video!! So much info, with no bs polluting the goods!! Thank you. I am a new resident in Washington. I don't know anything about catching Salmon but still I been out there just about every day! I'm a lady asked kinda shy cause I know I'm probably not fishing properly. I'm from Colorado, we fish trout more than anything. Totally different. I can't wait to first see if I can show some skein, the I'll follow the rest of your advice and see if I can't get me one. Or two. That's the limit right now.. Man, they're huge and jumping CONSTANTLY in a couple different spots I go to. It's crowded with boats and bankers but if I know what I'm doing, I will join right on!! Thanks again!!
