The process of customer/client acquisition is pretty much the same regardless if you are selling a service or a product. It begins with awareness, customers can't purchase products or services from a company they don't know exist. If you don't know how to acquire clients then it means you don't have a market strategy in place.

This video is so helpful. I am an inspiring VA. I was wondering how do you ask a client that if you don't have a specific skills they are requesting but I am willing to learn. How do you ask the client if they are willing to provide training. Have you experienced that before in the past? I don't mind learning a skill and provide value. Should I lower my price because they are offering training? Any thoughts or suggestions about this topic.

Hello! Great question. So, in the past if I had a client that was using a specific system/tool that I didn’t know how to use. I let them know from the beginning, that I didn’t know how to use it and if we were to work together that they would need to show me how to do it. I did not discount my services. I don’t think there’s a right or wrong to this. Now, when I hire VAs, I also train them to do the work exactly they way I want it done. And I pay them for the “training” which is like videos I’ve created. So, even if the person knows how to do something, they may not know how to do it the way I like. So…I train.
