Thank you Ajay for covering this! One of our parishioners purchased an elgato HD60S, OBS, and a used laptop recently and I am excited to get things started as I'm currently just live streaming from my iPhone and Facebook. We're trying to upgrade the quality of the videos but all I have is my iPhone at the moment. I tried live streaming just using OBS (without the elgato) and my phone but at one point, my phone just went black and there was a major lag in the transmission. My laptop was hooked up directly to the modem but my iPhone was connected to the WiFi which does not have the best connection. Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Will using the elgato in conjunction with OBS and my phone make a difference? Thank you in advance!
@AJaytheCEO4 жыл бұрын
Unless you are using some form of lightening cable to HDMI, your phone and the elgato won't talk to one another. Using a phone wirelessly is only good if you have control of the network like in my case. A wired solution tends to produce better results. I would say since you got everything to just get a camera or camcorder and use the HDMI input for the elgato.

Hello AJ. What do you think about Huddle Cams and which if any would you recommend? I see that they come with joystick pads. Is that necessary for beginning church live streams? We are in Korea mostly ordering from Amazon. Also, as someone who knows nothing about computers, is my Macbook Pro laptop suitable?

They work fine. I use the huddlecam serial remote for PTZ camers. What are your laptop specs?

What about getting clear audio into the live stream?
@AJaytheCEO4 жыл бұрын
That all depends on the source of your audio. For a church, pulling from the soundboard is the best option or like in my cause I use a shotgun mic or personal mic on the speaker.

Howdy Ajay, my church wants me to build them a computer for live-streaming their 3 cameras as well as the screen itself for song lyrics and bible verses. I usually make gaming pcs and am not familiar with live streaming hardware. They want to be able to stream in 1080p 60fps from all the cameras and the screen to facebook and youtube. What would you recommend I put in the computer?

Ryzen 5 3600 or higher quad hdmi capture card from black magic with gtx 1660 or higher for 4 display outputs
@luke2v524 жыл бұрын
AJaytheCEO would an i5 9600k be better or worse than the ryzen 5 3600. They are around the same price but the i5 seems to offer better performance but it has less threads.

Great video, however, a MacBOOK Air is quite capable of live streaming to Facebook and KZbin. I do agree the more power the higher the capabilities. However, it works very well for 1080p. Most small churches do not have the budget to start where you recommend.
@AJaytheCEO4 жыл бұрын
Understood. The live streaming system we started with cost $500. Add in the Sony CX230 - $175, we were able to start live streaming for under $700. I'm wondering what bitrate are you using on your Mac Air. I had 3 churches share their streams and it was a slideshow. Their internet was plenty fast and they were using 2500 for bitrate.
