I have an LMT Mega and can’t agree more that it’s my favorite RC. My steering servo, servo arm, and axle link mount broke pretty quickly but once I got those sorted it has been a solid runner. Just about due for my first shock rebuild, and I went for the limit straps from the start. Can’t say I’m easy on the truck and it’s holding up great!

Hi ! I own since a few months an LMT and I love it ! It's highly modified with Hackfab carbon chassis, Vitavon axles, Treal upper and lower links, Treal chassis brace, Spektrum 2050kv motor plus a few other things and this truck is now a real BLAST to drive ! I was an rc touring car driver but I've never had so much fun with an rc ! Thanks for all your vids and advices !

Owned my LMT for 3 years! Most of the time where the diffs sits in the plastic axle housings is where it'll start skipping, it's due the flexing of the plastic carriers in the axles when more power kicks in. When I upgraded my LMT with the treal axles the gears stopped skipping but then blowing out my diff bearings! lol Great content brother!
Love the LMT, and I appreciate your videos on it. I’ve been expecting another company to make a competitor to it (or a Losi LMT V2 for that matter) because it seems like the market should be big enough. We’ll see!

This is a top video. The LMT is fantastic! I have had my LMT since release, never broken an axle. For factory changes to the LMT I would be nice if the front upper link bolt was not obscured by the servo mount and a stock cage that fits under a proline C10 body better.
@LVC_RC2 ай бұрын
Glad you like it! Those are both great points, it would be cool to see them implemented in a V2 LMT. 👍

I purchased an LMT as a roller and it was missing the outside bearings on the rear axle hubs. I reached out to horizon and they sent a pack right away. Great point to triple check everything right out of the box. Great video BTW, very informative. Thanks!

Love my LMT…I’ve done a ton of Treal upgrades (F&R axle housings, steering components) and run a castle system in it on 4s (usually just run 3s ..plenty of power still) I have yet to break it ….but I don’t beat it to death either….ive recently installed some sling king wheels/tires on it for a different look… I have yet to try it out….should be fun!

I have a King Sling that I haven't really used that much... I think I would drive it a lot more with Monster Jam type tires, and am really hoping to get some for it soon. Looking at the Jcon website and their tires, theu have a package deal for tires and wheels together. I'm debating between Fling Kings or Renegades, on their LMT specific wheels in silver, and most likely will also get their 17mm adapters. Any suggestions? I did have an axle housing break, and I repaired it and reinforced it with CA glue and ashes, yes ashes, from cigarette... it actually works pretty well and has stayed together for a few runs and about 6 or 7 packs since then, both 3s and 4s but no big jumps. I think the newest axle housings are a 2nd revision and possibly even better than the revised mud truck ones, so if I break them again I may go ahead and just use the new plastic housings and reinforce them inside the webbing before assembly. If there's a problem after that I will consider aluminum options, there is one fairly affordable option that jist replaces one piece of the stock plastic axle housing, and I think that would be enough for me as I don't intend to bash the truck hard. Thanks for the videos, let me know what u think about the 2 tire options for general offroad fun and light bashing, no racing and no plans to run it on pavement, jist dirt, rocks, grass, etc... Cheers...
@LVC_RC2 ай бұрын
@@isaiahfurrow7414 Tires can definitely make a big difference. Renegades are a great all-around option, so I recommend those. Fling Kings are a blast, but my only complaint is they’re quite large/heavy and can rub the body. You might not have that issue with the King Sling body though… That’s amazing your repair is still holding strong! 💪 The revised housings are pretty solid. Thanks for watching!

Great video thanks a ton. Very informative and you nailed it. The talk about the axles had put me off from purchasing one. Do you have any recommendations for racing set ups? I heard the roller version has a longer wheelbase with racing in mind. Just curious. Waiting the next sale on the RTR model.
@LVC_RCАй бұрын
@@lo-rent-hobbit Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the TLR Tuned roller is set up for racing out of the box. For racing an RTR, I’d recommend removing the roll cage, upgrading the servo & servo saver, switching to JConcepts Renegades/Tributes, and installing LCG electronics/battery trays. Or if you want to go all out, you can purchase something like the Blackmarket RC FYTR racing chassis. 👍
