Not sure if you were aware of this but there are strong rumors and indications that this arcade 1up version consists of just the Drift game split into 2 games, FNF arcade had 12 tracks and some 12 cars and Drift arcade was an expansion it had the same 12 tracks added 6 more and another 4 cars or so. This arcade 1up basically took the 18 tracks from Drift sent the 12 tracks back to FNF and kept the 8 new tracks on Drift so when you boot up the games FNF will have 12 tracks and Drift only 6, 7 if you count the bonus gauntlet track. Furthermore they are only licensing 8 cars from Drift and that is same cars you also use on the FNF game. So FNF, 12 tracks 8 cars, Drift 6 tracks and bonus track plus same 8 cars.

i wouldn't be suprised. Sometimes arcade1up has to condense certain things in order to streamline the controls. either that or we have only got drift gameplay so far.

Nope as I got my Ridge Racer A1up November of 2022 for $299 at Best Buy. But the F&F cabinet gave me the idea to make my own 4 speed shifter for my sit down PC modded Ridge Racer cabinet.

Can't say i blame you. its a fun game. and the don't even have to really push their hardware that much. though it will be a bit jarring to have the Throttle on one end of the control panel and the Gear Shift on the other as we all know they will get offroad thunder on there somehow.

If this were Daytona, or Hydro Thunder, you better believe I’d be getting at least two cabinets to link up! I’m assuming this is their test cabinet for this and they’ve gotta know that if they want to print money, they would release Daytona or Hydro! Holding out for one of those classics!!!

Yeah aside from a license, this is definitely a test, though like tron identity, the appeal isn't in their traditional market being the 30-40s but closer to my age group the 20-30s. who still see this cab in local wal-marts, restaurants, theatres, Maybe the occasional bowling alley etc. either way this does leave me concerned as they won't sell through their inital 6K Stock from best buy if they don't fess up about the way the rom was handled.

Love your video as always! My condolence to you, your family, and friends that were affected by the loss of love one! Back to Arcade1up F&F cab, I will be buying two but I wait for the first sale drop from Best Buy or any other retailers that decide to pick this cab! FYI, if this cab becomes a clearance piece as of next year, I will buy two more so I can all four running at the same time! Will I do a mod if a three party decided to make a kit available? I would have said no!

Thanks for your concern, As far as modkits go, its likely going to be the Buystuff Mod getting virtual Shifter support Being realistic though i do hope that arcade1up does eventually push some higher level of online besides LAN or this could get messy for them later. especially because the buystuff racer mod basically turfs this product in features alone

it would be cool but they wont. it will be months before they even consider it, much less act on it.

I got 2 of these cabs on pre-order. I considered waiting for some of the other race cabs to come out, but this does look pretty good.

its a good deal in the shortform, what will be hard to say for sure is if the end result will pan out.

@ConStormENT If I put those F&F cabs together and the link is terrible or the PCBs don't run good they are getting returned to the store, but I got a good feeling about the F&F cabs. I think everything will be fine.

This is likely a test, a way to see how well linked cabs will actually sale at market more than likely this was just a excuse to tap the film audience market.

its a test of intrest. if this sells well, then the doors open to the future of racers, if not then it's just another 2-3 years until we get another one.
