I wish I saw how you did the plumbing earlier. It wouldn't have helped my issue but it would gave me some inspiration for placement. I have the pure white one, DDW621WDB, and it gave me an error of a leak after one year of use. Right after the warranty period. I unhooked the hoses and I thought maybe tightening it with a wrench would help. It cracked the piece and I was forced to purchase a new "Inlet Pipe Assembly (SKU:12676000000550)". The issue I had with this is that they make just the drain hose (SKU: 12176000A39306). However, they claim the part has been "discontinued". I would believe this if they didnt have to make the bloody part for the Inlet Pipe Assembly. Shipping is also $20, so in total paid around $70 for the part. PSA* Plastic parts are only covered under warranty for 30 days. For my model that is 90% of the unit. So nice 1 year warranty they have

Now we know, thanks. I had a Hisense dehumidifier I bought on Ebay for deep discount at $90. They blew them out in a week or so. The squirrel cage fan grenaded after a few months and the part was literally unobtainable. I searched for the part after 3 years and now it is available. Took 2 months to deliver it, but I have it. Supply and demand have their moments.

People may not know this, but Danby is the child company of Maytag. Danby absolutely tests every appliance before it leaves the facility. My mom had a Danby electric tumble clothes dryer when I was a teen, and its life span was well over 20 years. Worth the money paid, imo. I now own a new Danby dryer, and I love it. I am looking to purchase this sweet girl here, ^^ next, followed by their larger portable washing machine. Thanks for this thorough review. PS. I think the little circle opening on the door might be for water softeners to eliminate streaks and droplet marks. Also, on the side where the bulge is, there's a slight dent toward the front on the panel, like it's buckled. My guess is that broken wood is symbolic of too high a stack. Looks like they might need to ship them in scaffolded crates.

It's the rinse agent dispenser for liquid products such as Jet Dry, Cascade Rinse Agent, LemiShine, etc. I just use generic, personally. The rinse agent creates a sheeting effect for water, so it doesn't leave spots/marks, and increases drying time without heat. Also, dries plastic.

I had the older version danby washer. I installed it under my counter to save counter space in my kitchen. It worked well for 5 years but later started having leak issues around the base of the door frame. I'm looking for a another replacement. My previous one had a glass door and it was very helpful sometimes a utensil will fall and fall into the spray bar and stop it from rotating and you can see it through the window.

@cameranmanner4701
@cameranmanner4701 10 ай бұрын
@@gracieladlg2468 you will have to split the hot water line and tap into the drain line. Once done you can buy dishwasher hose kit. Just check the fittings as they may be non-standard. Inside the cabinet build a top shelf make sure it's level from left to right and back to front. When running the washer keep the cabinet door open to let out the moisture/steam when running. Good luck

You are draining directly into your sink with the hose that came with the unit... Would it be possible to drain into the pipes and install this under the counter just like a half sized regular unit?
@geostomp
@geostomp 8 ай бұрын
Yes, I don't see why not. Something like that might go through a plumber so as to be sure your drain has a roof vent and maybe even a P-trap. I wanted to do some dishes and test the machine. Still going strong.

How did you pass the wires to hook up the plumbing under the sink? Did you drill holes on the counter?
@geostomp
@geostomp Жыл бұрын
Our sink has a few holes for plumbing including for a spray gun on the right side. We installed a faucet that has the spray gun integrated centrally, so the additional hole was vacant for the dishwasher kit to pass through.

Heya, good video. Question, the website for the DDW631SDB states that the height is 19.something inches, and the depth is 17.25 inches and honestly, looking at their other model, it seems like their spec data on the DDW631SDB is flipped (the height and depth). Can you confirm that the DDW631SDB is 17.25 inches tall from base to top please? I really want to buy one but I only have like, 17.5 inches of space.

I have the same model but my dishwasher recently started having issues cleaning the dishes it sounds like the water is just dribbling out of the spray arm and doesn’t have enough force to spin the wash arm or the dishes I cleaned the filter even sucked up water through the spray arm opening and still no luck.
@geostomp
@geostomp Жыл бұрын
Maybe be sure the arm itself isn't clogged. You could try CLR dip if you use hard water. I believe it is designed for soft water only. Keep in mind I am not affiliated with the manufacturer.

I just got mine and I tried it, it showed me error 4E, it seamed to stop after draining some of the water but it was still full of foam. I decided to put a quick rinse but it still had to foam after it finished. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix and hopefully avoid this in the future? Thank you!
@geostomp

If you have foam you have the wrong detergent. Dish soap for the sink is not suitable for this machine.

E4 is overflow protection. Wash those suds out and tip it on its left side. The overflow sensor bowl will empty and you should be back in business.

I'm curious have you noticed any jump in your electric I got the exact same dishwasher 2 months ago and considerably consecutively each month that's been over $200 before my electric bill was $39 and I'm using it with my hot water heater so I'm like super shocked by this
@geostomp
@geostomp 11 ай бұрын
No, I haven't. At $.20 a kwh, a plug pulling a 1000w constantly 24/7 will consume $144. You can multiply the $144 by the ratio you use the machine every month, and your bill should be less than that given you are starting with hot water. Geothermal heat may help reduce running costs.

WAY too much detergent used! Countertop dishwashers require half the amount of detergent used in full-sized units. I have a Danby countertop, and most cycles require only the SMALLER side to be filled (15g) and the 3 grams atop, in the detergent prewash dispenser. If dishes are more heavily soiled, use the 25 g side, plus the prewash. I advise using POWDER detergent (Walmart's Great Value is awesome and cheap), because you can control the amount poured into the detergent dispenser, and it's much more economical. Liquids/gels aren't as effective IMO, because they're watered down. Don't bother with pricey tablets/premeasured packs (unless you're washing REALLY heavily soiled, burned pans). They cost a lot and are a waste of product because ... they're meant for full-sized units. No need to pre-rinse dishes. The enzymes in the detergents break down food particles. The circular, capped dispenser next to the detergent: it's for the rinse agent to be poured. Jet Dry, Cascade Drying Agent, LemiShine, or generic. Some people use vinegar. The rinse agent creates a sheeting action to reduce/eliminate watermarks, make glassware and cutlery shiny, and helps speed up the drying process (especially for plastics). The numbers inside the dispenser (1-4) are to adjust the amount of rinse agent that is released during each rinse cycle. "3" is recommended for most, but less if you've got really soft water. "4" if your water is hard or prone to leaving scale on glassware. If you leave the dishwasher door closed for about 30 minutes after the cycle ends: the rinse agent will eliminate the need to dry. See the sun symbol on the front of the program display? It's indicated with a red mark because it's telling you that the rinse agent dispenser needs to be filled. (You only have to fill it once every couple of weeks.)🔅 You can also crack open the door after the cycle to air-dry. No need to take them out right away or hand dry. In fact, it's best to WAIT for the dishes to cool/dry before removing them because the water has been heated to over 100ºF/50ºC. Not only can this burn hands, but can make the dishes more fragile, and susceptible to cracking or breaking. Your bigger plates are meant to fit in the FRONT slats of that model; you were putting them in the slats for smaller sandwich and saucer plates. Your dishwasher will work more effectively if items are placed properly in their allocated spots (see manual).
