The 2024 Infiniti QX60 is better than you realize, even if it doesn't seem competitive in the luxury SUV class at first glance. At $70k, the Infiniti QX60 isn't cheap, and the competition at that price is incredibly stiff, but if you wait a few years and pick up a used example, there is a lot to like at $60k or less. This 2024 Infiniti QX60 Autograph trim has all of the features most people desire in a luxury SUV with a nicely appointed and styled interior that feels convincing rich and opulent. It won't be confused for the best from BMW or Mercedes, but it's certainly competitive with Lexus and Acura in this price range, and it is noticeably larger than the Acura MDX. Only the new Lexus TX offers substantially more room for people and stuff, but a comparably equipped Lexus TX will be pricey versus a few years old CPO Infiniti QX60. If you're looking to stretch your dollars as far as they'll go, the Infiniti QX60 makes a compelling choice. We enjoyed the way it drove, too, even if it was a bit soft at times, and the Bose premium audio system sounds pretty great. Only the lame Nissan infotainment system betrays its pedestrian Nissan Pathfinder origins, but Infiniti does such a good job with the styling inside and out that some concessions can be made for the right price. It might not be our first choice in the class, but you definitely shouldn't sleep on the Infiniti QX60 Autograph if you're in the market for a luxury SUV with all of the features and don't want to spend top dollar. You'll likely be pleasantly surprised by the Infiniti QX60 as we were. Check out our review of the Infiniti QX55 to see another take on Infiniti's SUV lineup.

I worked for Infiniti when this gen QX60 launched and personally while the Autograph is nice I think it pushes the price up a bit too much. If you can live without the quilting and blacktop roof along with a couple of the other small things. the Luxe w/ the Bose audio upgrade is the sweet spot. You still get the heated/cooled seats, digital cluster, pro pilot assist, pano roof etc for around 60K or less (and dealers are more likely to offer discounts).

Great point! That's why we leaned into the idea of getting one of these used. A used autograph trim at a steep discount is the way to go, especially at $60k or less.

@@jax1079 oh yeah used they’re fantastic. More so if CPO. The Infiniti CPO warranty last I remember was 7 years/unlimited miles on the powertrain from the first sale of the vehicle.

@@scarboy6693 Wow! That's even better than I thought. I know they want to sell new ones, but I think a LOT of people would be convinced by a vehicle like the QX60 if they knew they could get that much value added in used.

@@jax1079and on the Sensory you can come even closer to the Autograph by hitting the right options that give you the HUD and some other Autograph goodies. Still sadly no black roof or, I believe, the quilting... but you do get the ability to have second row bench, a choice unfortunately missing on the Autograph.

Great review again spot on. Like this vehicle a lot at $60k which is what it should be at loaded just like the Mazda. But what are we doing at $70k and we don’t even flinch anymore? Is $70k the new $50,000? I traded my 2024 MDX Advanced I got last September on March 15th with 22k on it for a 2023 Lincoln Black Label Aviator black/alpine (stunning). When I got the MDX I really wanted the Aviator but not only were they not discounting them like they should have, but they had the can’t sell recall on them. I didn’t have a dealer tell me that until talking to the third one…pure slime 😤 So in March for shit$ and giggles I called my local Lincoln dealer and said I’ll buy a 2023 Black Label for $10k under the sticker. 2024’s on the lot right next to all the 2023’s they couldn’t sell. Local dealer scoffed at my offer and said their $5k discount was plenty. So I called the dealer that was honest last September and told me they could deliver it because of the recall. Offered the same deal but they were five hours away in MN. They got to within $1,500 of my offer and I said pass. I was talking to my Sales Manager and reminded him they will be taking a loss on EVERY 2023 and his first loss will be his best loss. He called back in 90 minutes and said deal. And my local Lincoln dealer is now selling them for $10k under msrp. 🤪 My point Jax that you talked about, is we have become numb to the $70+ price tag. That’s a lot of freaking money and how many buyers are left playing in that sandbox? My Aviator sticker was $82,220 which is ludicrous for what you get Black Label or not! I feel modestly better with the $10k discount but this the most expensive car I’ve ever owned. And when we retire in a few years we’ll have a 2023 Nautilus 2.7 Reserve loaded and a 2023 Aviator. Don’t get me wrong, super pleased with the 3.0 liter 400hp 415torque the size and SO comfortable ride and 30 way adjustable seats…but I can’t help but look at it and think $82,220 for a LINCOLN 🫣 Just like looking at that $70k QX60 and thinking…for an INFINITY 😯 You and Meg are awesome per usual 👍🏻

Absolutely excellent point. Despite the awful interest rates and dealer practices, it's much more of a buyer's market than people realize. If they're patient (as you were!) there are still deals to be had out there. Thanks for watching and commenting!

You hit the nail on the head on the shifter. Shouldn't have tried to fix what weren't broke. Maybe not by much but still better than a dial or fiddly Acura type button push-pull affair (Ayrton Senna is turning in his grave), GM's truck dash buttons, or Porsche's embarrassing little nubbin. Just bring back the far-superior traditional PRND +/- shifter. Distant second best would be the "Mercedes" column stalk others have also been adopting, but it's still not as useful or nearly as intuitive as a regular one on the console. The stalk still requires a separate movement (button push) for Park. No thanks.

We're in agreement for sure. We don't mind the stalk for the purposes of freeing up center console space in a practical family vehicle (see the Chevy Traverse preview), but over complicating the traditional shifter while still taking up the same amount of space makes ZERO sense. Some allowances could be made for a truck that has 4wd modes and low range, etc... but that's a niche scenario. Family vehicles with ridiculous shifters are just plain silly. Megan HATES them... if you couldn't tell :-)

@@jax1079 you make an excellent point about the buttons, the Acura push-pull system for instance, and dials and such on the console taking up the same space as an especially well-designed traditional shifter. I wouldn't mind the column stalk so much if it were truly like old school, meaning if it still included Park in the primary motion-arc,... which as time goes by fewer and fewer are familiar with, and therefore don't appreciate the absence of such..... and that was the time-honored PRNDL literally in that order from the top (later on, some with a button on the end of the stalk for engaging / disengaging O/D)..... so when you wanted Park you just shifted up to the uppermost notch or detent, period (dead end) ... the beauty was it was strictly by feel and certain. I realize almost all cars are strictly electronic connections now, etc (thus the typical fanboy and often manufacturer excuse, "we can put the shifter anywhere now, it doesn't matter...". I say it does, read on)...... but I'm sure the engineers could figure out a way to do at least the first step, the stalk's engagement with its column mounting, as solid mechanical feel and then those positions could be translated to the transmission itself just as some the past several years and still currently with otherwise standard, traditional shifters on the console. Regarding retaining a traditional console shifter with the +/- function, yes I realize more and more vehicles have paddle shifters, but there is still nothing as predictable, "certain" as having that function (also) on the console, especially when you want to control gears when you're going up a grade, in the twisties, etc, I really don't need to be trying to do two things with at least one steering hand. You might want to - on the one hand (literally) control gears, (the car's computer truly doesn't know the optimal gear in all conditions, its logarithms were developed in the lab), but also pay particular attention to the road and your steering - at the same time.
