So like, I've been learning a lot about Mystara from your vids, but I'm still very new to the setting, when you refer to the "box set" is that the BECMI Gazetteer or a product from a different edition? I'm more of a BECMI fan tbh and am more interested in digging up the Mystara books from that era, unless info that was left out is accounted for sufficiently in say 2e products or whatever.

The Box set was just that, a box containing the books maps and simple campaign fpr the setting complete with audio cd.

I was showing a friend some of the spells in the mystara players guide and he asked why would anyone use "grasp the magic since used" instead of "counterspell"? Are all spells in the regular players handbook in mystara? do they all still work the same way?

@@Lunarice98 all spells in the phb are in Mystara. They might have different names but they are largely there. There are some regional restrictions but those are highly situational. Grasp the magic since used also effects spell like abilities which can't be counter spelled.
