I never realized how thick the matcha is in the tea ceremony until tea master Sosen described it. Drinking "thick tea" must be a very different experience. Interesting! The video was a delight in every way. Your filming of it, Shinichi, and dapper Satoshi's participation in it and emotional reaction to it afterward. Thank you for this special experience. Love to you both. ❤️

I wanted to like matcha because it’s so healthy, I hate it with a passion but watching the tea ceremony is so relaxing and inspire serenity and peace. And since most comments are about Satoshi’s hats I really believe he looks more distinguished and younger without the hat. Everyone has insecurities though, even if they’re not justified, happy to see Satoshi in videos with or without the hats❤️

I was lucky to have a lesson and participated in a tea ceremony many years ago. Unfortunately, I didn''t care for the tea and still can't drink it, it was very thick and grassy tasting. However, the experience in learning and drinking the tea was unbelievable. The person leading the whole experience was believed to be a descendent of royalty. She was very tall. I still have a photo that I took of her. I really enjoyed this video. Can't wait for more. Thank you both for bringing these videos to us. Have a nice weekend.

I have talked to some people over the years and a couple of them were my friends grandparents who use to live in Okinawa and they told me that in Okinawa they would sometimes do the tea ceremony when 2 people were in love with each other as a way to kind of seal their love for each other. I cant think of the words to use ither than seal their love so thats why i had to put it like that but in karate kid with Mr. Miyagi when they go to japan they actually do a part of the tea ceremony and they say part of why they sometimes did that.

wow..such a beautiful and alluring video...Satoshi look so handsome and sophisticated but seeing such a beautiful art form and knowing I could see it for myself if I ever manage to visit Japan. the tea process and art that is the ceremony..down to the smallest details..the clothes worn, the movements of the host..everything amazes me and these traditions are what make japan such a beautiful place and so special to me.

That was interesting. Tea aside, one of the things that really struck me was Satoshi without his cap. He looks younger without it and is actually quite handsome. You both are quite handsome. Anyway ... back to the content of the video ... I knew a tea ceremony was quite formal, but I didn't know it was so precise with the tools and utensils. It was really quite fascinating. Thank you.

Great video!!! I've been to Uji once but that was just for the summer fireworks festival so never got to explore the tea shops, cafes and the tea farms. But I will next time I'm in the area. I had the luck that my host mother when I came to Japan for the first time is versed in the tea ceremony but I never manage to drink the thick matcha; it's too thick and I have problems swallowing it. I'll check out the website of his store later :)

I think the tea ceremonies are gorgeous and, like Satoshi said, connects you with the universe. I love that they have a standing version of the ceremony at The Tea Crane. While I would love to do the formal version in the Tea Room, my knees do not allow me to kneel for that long.

Have memories of friends bringing beautiful tea as gifts. My mother used to scold them for treating me and my sisters with this elegant tea, and their response was that they wanted us to see and taste that special tea.living in the u s we couldn't buy it let alone afford it. Now many years later its flavor and visual is embedded in my head and nothing compares since. What a wonderful memory and gift that was given to us 40+years ago🍵🍵 satoshi you are so handsome🤗🤗🤗
