OVERVIEW
The APR Catch Can System with PCV Plate is a comprehensive upgrade to your engine's Positive Crank Ventilation (PCV) system. This factory-racecar-inspired-system takes a multi-step approach to addressing several performance robbing issues, and critical engine safety concerns, with the factory system. You should consider dropping the catch can and retrofitting the mk8 pcv with the venturi valve. This will maintain negative pressure in the crank case at nearly all states and prevent sucking up oil into the intake. The catch can makes the situation worse. Do a quick search on mk8 retrofit by Data Driven MQB.

Where did you end up routing the drain tube? I’ve had mine installed for a few days now and can’t decide where to route it lol

it you could do it again would you still go with the APR unit or maybe try one of the brands like a LEYO or RacingLine? I am replacing my VTT / Vargas Turbo catch can system but with which one i am still on the fence? I like the LEYO system and think maybe i would just be paying for three letters with the APR system!? Regardless i am just wanting to get the best system for my hard earned dollar and could care less whose name is on it you know... I look forward to your feed back here...Thanks!

How to drain oil from APR catch from home?

Very much interested to hear how much oil your catching there. Thinking to purchase the same system, then again I read it’s not needed as the OEM PCV is doing a plenty decent job.

Nice video! I am going to install it this weekend. Your video really helps! However, I found two extra big screws with a ball head which is not mentioned at all in the instruction. Any idea on how to use them? Thanks!

Those are extended engine cover standoffs for the S3 (I think). I didn’t need them for my car.

Do you need to run a catch can with the APR PCV Top Plate? I want to say you do based off the connection but want to make sure.

Have you checked for positive pressure after install ? Lift the oil cap while idling and see if you have slight vacuum or pressure... Curious to find out as i have the same problem as this guy after installing a different brand "pcv plate kit".See: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqi7gYmie6eWpqM

Prevent the sensors from been exposed to boost, only vacuum.
